Board member representing the CSU Universities on the California Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (CAHPERD) State Council on Adapted Physical Education ( present). I also served as their budget chair and 2005 present. * attend 5 yearly meetings with the council * chair 2 yearly meetings with all CSU Adapted Physical Education Coordinators * maintain the budget of the council, which includes the approval of all expenditures * consult and approve the National Conference budget * maintain the National Conference budget * established and now maintain the Robert Campbell Memorial Fund budget * consult and advise the parent organization, CAHPERD, regarding budget items * wrote the council mission statement and strategic plan * developed guidelines for the use of a data base of teachers and administrators names and addresses in adapted physical education * gave major input on a survey developed by the council asking questions regarding various aspects of the Program Advisory as well as new information regarding the various service delivery models used in physical education Field consultant for the State of California Department of Education, Special Education Division in Adapted Physical Education concerning the program advisory in adapted physical education, which was signed July I was one of the initial writers of the advisory which is entitled Program Advisory Clarifying Adapted Physical Education Program Services" and most recently chair the writing committee of the Adapted Physical Education Guidelines for California Schools. My role as a consultant includes presentations, informal and formal consultations to California School Districts, and training of state education review teams, district personnel, and teachers. Fielding questions via telephone calls from individuals around the state regarding the interpretations of the advisory seemed to be the greatest role that my consultation has taken in the last few years present. Chair of the Review Board for Adapted Physical Education Programs for the Commission for Teacher Credentialing. I was the chair of the committee when the standards were developed and now I am honored to chair the first review of the adapted programs submitted by the CSU s. This is very important and a historical event in the adapted area for California. Until May 1997, no review of any adapted credentialing program in California has taken place.
