1 Prestonwood Christian Academy North Faculty and Staff God s hand is evident in establishing PCA North through the incredible provision of faculty and staff. Principal Donna Leadford is building a dynamic group of educators and support staff. Please welcome: Jean Anthony will serve as the PE teacher at PCA North. She has 13 years of experience in the education field, including time at PCA and Hunters Glen Baptist Church Childhood Learning Center. She received her master s from Baylor University and her bachelor degree from San Diego State University. She and her husband, Jeff, live in Plano and have three children: Katie (24), Ben (22) and Carrie (21). They attend Hunters Glen Baptist Church in Plano and enjoy traveling together. Mrs. Anthony is also involved with her husband s ministry with international students. Cindy Arredondo is PCA North s Spanish and Music Teacher. She has 14 years of teaching experience in the public school systems, but she has also taught for many years in private and home schools. Most recently, Mrs. Arredondo served as a music teacher in the Prosper ISD. Mrs. Arredondo graduated from Lamar University with degrees in both Elementary Education and Music, and she received a master's degree in Elementary Education from University of North Texas. Mrs. Arredondo is ESL certified and has also received Kodaly certification from Southern Methodist University. She and her husband, Las, are members of Prestonwood North and have three children: Bethany, Rebekah and Nathan.
2 Whitney Clark will serve as the Second Grade teacher at PCA North. She was recently a guidance counselor in Stillwater, OK, after receiving her bachelor degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University. Miss Clark is a 2009 graduate of Prestonwood Christian Academy, and she, her parents, sister and brother attend Prestonwood Baptist Church. Her mom, Debi, is on staff at PCA Plano in the Lower School, and Miss Clark s younger brother, Hayden, will be a senior at the school in the fall. Miss Clark enjoys running, reading, playing with her dog and cooking. Anslie Dysart is the Administrative Assistant to Principal Leadford at PCA North and has been a part of the PCA Family since She helped open the Lower and Middle Schools at the Plano campus, and she is excited to open PCA North! Mrs. Dysart has been married to her husband, Ted, for 29 years, and the couple has three sons: Clayton (PCA 05), Matt (PCA 08) and Sam (PCA 10). She also has a grandson, Caleb, who is entering First Grade at PCA North. The Dysart s have been members of Prestonwood Baptist Church for 14 years and are involved in Bible Fellowship. Mrs. Dysart has been a teacher in the Women s Ministry for the past three years and is a member of the Leadership Team. Kristin Dysart comes to PCA North as the Pre- K1 teacher after three years of teaching in the Lewisville ISD. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Dallas Baptist University with a double major in History & Sociology. Mrs. Dysart and her husband, Clayton, a PCA graduate, have two sons, Caleb (entering First Grade at PCA North) and Zachary (20 months). The
3 family attends Prestonwood North where Mrs. Dysart is involved in Preschool Ministry, Bible Fellowship and Women s Bible Study. Sarah Fuller joins the PCA North team as the First Grade Teacher. She brings with her 13 years of teaching experience, most recently with the Frisco ISD. Mrs. Fuller graduated from Southern Arkansas University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She and her husband, John, have three children: Jack, Jonah and Judson. The family attends Prestonwood North where Mrs. Fuller is involved in Bible Fellowship and the Preschool Ministry. Melissa McAdams is the Pre- K2 teacher at PCA North after serving as a Kindergarten teacher in the Lewisville ISD for the past two and a half years. She also spent seven years as a CLC teacher at Prestonwood. Mrs. McAdams has a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood from University of North Texas. She and her husband, Justin, have three children who will attend PCA North: Jackson (Third Grade), Kate (First Grade) and Max (Pre-K1). The McAdams have attended Prestonwood Baptist Church for 13 years where she has taught preschool and been involved with Women s Bible Study. The couple currently teaches The Pursuit Bible Fellowship class at Prestonwood North. Jennifer Noel Art Teacher Mrs. Noel brings with her four years of experience in the Irving ISD prior to being at home with her two young sons, Michael (3) and Westyn (9 months). Michael will
4 attend PCA North this fall. Mrs. Noel has a Bachelor s of Visual Arts Studies degree from University of North Texas. She, her husband, Michael, and their children attend Hope Fellowship, where Mrs. Noel is involved with Early Childhood and Moms Group. Stacy Poole joins the team as the PCA North Nurse. Mrs. Poole has been a Registered Nurse for 18 years after earning her bachelor degree from University of Memphis and Baptist School of Nursing. She has served as the RN at Prestonwood Learning Center (CLC) North Campus for the past five years. Mrs. Poole and her husband, Lance, are members of Prestonwood North where she is active in the Women s Ministry and Children s Ministry. Their children, Laura (9) and Graham (7) are looking forward to attending PCA North in the fall. Darla Ryan is the Fourth Grade Teacher at PCA North. Mrs. Ryan brings 32 years of education experience to the team having earned a B.S.E. in Elementary Education with Kindergarten endorsement and serving as an educator in the Allen ISD. Mrs. Ryan and husband, Dr. Harry D. Ryan, are members of Prestonwood North. They have five children: Daron Blackerby, Scott Szczepinski, Drake Szczepinski, Laurie Benzick and Heather Terkelsen, and seven grandchildren ranging in age from two to 10 years old. Mrs. Ryan is involved with both the Women s Bible Study and the Children s Ministry at Prestonwood North.
5 Judy Steen is the Librarian and Technology Teacher at PCA North. Mrs. Steen served eight and half years as a Fifth Grade teacher at PCA, and most recently, spent the past two years as a Librarian in the Carrollton- Farmers Branch ISD. She graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a bachelor degree in Elementary Education with a Reading specialization. Mrs. Steen also has a master s degree from University of North Texas in Library Science. She and her husband David, who is a teacher in the PCA Upper School, have been married for 20 years and have a son, Corey (Sophomore) and daughter, Brooke (Seventh Grade) who both attend PCA. The family is involved with their church, Preston Trail Community Church in Frisco. Glenda Thornal is the Learning Lab teacher at PCA North. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and has 38 years of teaching experience, 37 of them in public school. Ms. Thornal has taught First, Fourth and Seventh Grades, and she spent the past 11 years as the dyslexia specialist in the Coppell ISD. Ms. Thornal has been a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church for 15 years, which she attends with her identical twin sister. She has two miniature schnauzers, Lily and Violet, and enjoys traveling, especially to football and baseball games. Lacey Troster comes to PCA North as the Third Grade teacher. Mrs. Troster has been teaching for four years, most recently as an Instructional Coach in the Pilot Point ISD, after earning her bachelor degree in Development and Family Studies from University of North Texas. Mrs. Troster and
6 her husband, Brandon, have two children, Kylie (3) and Lane (3 months,) and enjoy swimming, riding 4- wheelers, playing at the park and socializing with family & friends. Mrs. Troster and her family attend Prestonwood North. Julie Zarycki is the Kindergarten teacher at PCA North. Mrs. Zarycki has 22 years of teaching experience, most recently as a First Grade teacher at Grace Academy of North Texas. She graduated from the University of California at San Diego and received a master s degree from San Diego State University. Mrs. Zarycki and her husband, Gary, live in Prosper and have three sons: Andrew (22,) Sam (19) and Jacob (15.) The family attends Prestonwood North where Mrs. Zarycki serves on the Children s Security Team and attends Truth Time ABF.
Ms. Mascaro is passionate about Christian Education and has a Bachelor s Degree from Valley Forge Christian College as well as a Master s Degree from Thomas Edison State College. She has been in Christian
