Fruge, Ph.D. 8/01-7/05 Mental Health Specialist Brazos Valley Community Action Agency (BVCAA) Head Start Program, Bryan, Texas Duties: Organized and conducted developmental screenings for children enrolled in the BVCAA Head Start with the Developmental Indicator for the Assessment of Learning, abbreviated version (Speed DIAL). Consulted with classroom teachers, staff, and parents to develop and implement various behavioral and educational interventions. Conducted behavioral observations, provided recommendations, and assisted teachers and parents in the development of interventions. Participated as part of the Child Review Committee meetings with parents, teachers, and staff to make multidiscipline decisions about the students. Systems level consultation was provided through the presentation of several workshops and trainings for parents and staff on various behavioral and developmental issues. Provided play therapy services for several of the Head Start children who were dealing with traumatic experiences. Weekly supervision was provided by Michael Ash, Ph.D. 8/04-5/05 Cypress-Fairbanks ISD School Practicum, Watkins Middle School and Walker Elementary School, Houston, TX. Duties: Providing individual and group counseling to students at both schools, conducting behavior evaluations, observing students in the classroom, and consulting with parents and teachers. One day a week is spent in Cy-Fair; one half day on the middle school campus and one half day at the elementary school campus. Weekly supervision is provided by Jeremy Sullivan, Ph.D. and group supervision is provided by William A. Rae, Ph.D. 6/04-7/04 Extended School Year Program (ESY) Practicum, College Station Independent School District, College Station, TX. Duties: Worked as the behavior consultant for the ESY teachers and staff. Observed children with moderate to severe learning problems ranging in age from three to eighteen and ran a social skills group for children with Autism. Worked with children with diagnoses including Autism, Mental Retardation, and physical disabilities. The children participated in a half-day summer school program four days a week for a total of five weeks. They rotated through activities promoting large and fine motor control, math, reading, and social skills. I alternated days between the elementary school children and the middle and high school children. Supervision was provided by Anne Wehrly, Ph.D. and Cynthia Riccio, Ph.D. 9/03-5/04 School Practicum, Pebble Creek Elementary School, College Station, TX Duties: Conducted individual and group therapy with students on the campus. Conducted Full Psychological Evaluations for school district, prepared the reports, gave parents and teachers feedback, and presented testing at ARD meeting. Conducted consultation with teachers and parents concerning their student. Participated in the school s prereferral team (SAILS Team) and worked with teachers, counselor, and

Weekly supervision was provided by Michael Ash, Ph.D. and Becky Hall, Ph.D. 1/03-8/03 Child Therapy Practicum, Counseling and Assessment Clinic, Texas A&M University Duties: Individual and family therapy with children and adolescents. Used various cognitive-behavioral and play therapy approaches. Interventions were primarily focused on decreasing behavior problems the youth were experiencing and increasing their social-emotional skill level. Weekly supervision was provided by William A. Rae, Ph.D. 1/03-5/03 Integrated Practicum in Assessment and Diagnosis Counseling and Assessment Clinic, Texas A&M University Bryan Independent School District Duties: Created an assessment battery based on the person s individual needs, presenting problem, and hypothesized issues. Conducted assessment, interpreted, and prepared psycho-educational reports.
