10 Enterprises want complete flexibility in their cloud configurations Dedicated On-Premises Traditional dedicated on-premises cloud Financial firm Traditional new business model Auto firm Dedicated Off-Premises Traditional dedicated off-premise cloud Boursorama Traditional shared off-premise cloud Whirlpool Shared Off-Premises 10
11 in Action: Europe-based Financial Services Firm A global financial services company in Europe deploys onpremises shared services catalog to optimize business The Client The firm is a prominent financial services company dating back to the 19 th century and today is one of the leading banks, with a strong international presence and 3,500 offices and 100,000 full-time employees with operations in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe. A P I The Need To stand up a Shared Service Catalog for both cloud and legacy end-points. Reconcile desire for standard services and cloud where regulators will only allow on-premise. Patterns (SCO) Shared Service Catalog Shared Service Management for cloud and legacy end-points Dedicated On-Premises The Solution IBM Managed Services, Lite- Site architecture deployed on the client s premise, with incremental capacity needs, and integration with existing investments for centralized managing tools, processes and labor. Scalable architecture for demanding traditional enterprise workloads (large servers, high-iops storage, multiple networks). 11 Automated management Infrastructure Room 1 Pattern Deployment & Mgmt Automated management Infrastructure Room 2 Semi-automated management Legacy Infrastructure Existing SO Scope Standard-managed, SO-style SLAs and compliance.
