1 July 2014 Program Drill-Downs National Prepared for Hilbert College and St. Bonaventure University Matching People & Jobs Reemployment & Education Pathways Resume Parsing & Management Real-Time Jobs Intelligence

2 Program Drill-Downs: Overview To help Hilbert College and St. Bonaventure University gauge demand for proposed programs that combine and leverage the respective strengths of each institution, Burning Glass has undertaken an analysis of the landscape of demand for these programs in western New York, nationally, and in states identified as common destinations for graduates. The programs to be analyzed were identified by the institutions, and include the following: Cybersecurity Intelligence Studies Target Jobs 47 Postings Forensic Science To analyze demand for these programs, jobs that require the skills students will develop in each program were identified and broken into target and secondary Secondary opportunities Jobs for program graduates. The magnitude 4,944 Postings of total and entry-level demand for these jobs was then analyzed, as were the specific skills and other credentials demanded by employers. All data in the following report is from Burning Glass s database of job postings and reflects national postings from the full year

3 Program Drill-Downs: How to Interpret These Data Target jobs represent direct matches with the skills that program graduates will develop through their studies. The areas of the bull's-eye and outside ring represent the magnitude of national demand for target jobs and secondary jobs, respectively. Secondary jobs call for some of the skills program graduates will develop, along with additional competencies that graduates can add to their portfolios with relevant internships or coursework outside of their primary field of study. 3
