2 Dear Yachtswomen and Yachtsmen of the 30m² skerry cruiser classes, In the name of the board and the members of the we cordially invite you to take part in the European cup of the 30m² skerry cruiser classes, which will take place in Bregenz from July 23 rd to July 27 th It is a privilege to organize this international regatta again after According to the high competition standards in this beautiful and traditional class, there will be numerous races. Besides the sporting point of view we will take care that there will be enough time to come together, meet each other and have a good time in Bregenz as well. We will do everything to organize the weekend as interesting and pleasant as possible, for you, your crew and your companions. 7 NOTICE OF RACE 01. Competition International 02. Classes 30 sqm-yachts, race and touring 03. Rules/Applicable Law Bodensee Schifffahrtsordnung Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) of the International Sailing Federation Class rules and EC-Rules IV-30 Notice of Race, including amendments The Sailing Instructions (available at registration) and any amendments All boats measured according to the rules of the SSKF and iv-30 are eligible to start. The boats must have a valid Swedish, German or Hungarian measurement certificate. German boats can start with a valid Swedish measurement certificate as well. Skippers are allowed to sail with a chartered boat from any country with a valid measurement certificate. There is no limitation of the number of sails that are used for the regatta. Type and sizing of the sails are allowed according to the rules of the country, where the valid measurement certificate has been issued. Measuring marks on the mast and boom must be visible and of correct size according to the rules. Hungarian boats are eligible to start under the following conditions: The Hungarian rules must be issued in English Boats must have a valid measurement certificate Mast weight must be adjusted according to SSKF Rules Outlet of the spinnaker halyard has to be lowered to the level of SSKF boats Spinnaker boom must correspond to the SSKF rules. WR-Appendix G 1.1 does not apply to the headsail. Boats that were built before 1925: Boats must have a valid measurement certificate. The certificate shall be accepted only if the boat has no modification in terms of the conservation. These boats can only start after acceptance by the OA and after consultation with the technical officers of the SSKF and iv Advertising Boats can be bound to display advertising as supplied and chosen by the OA. Registration Deadline Deadline will be July 10 th Entry Fee EURO 350 Recipient of a payment: Bank: Hypo Bregenz IBAN: AT BIC: HYPVAT2B Reason for Payment: Europa Cup der 30m 2 Schaerenkreuzer + Registration number + name of the boat A non-refundable entry fee of EURO 350 must be paid to the BSC until deadline. Entries will not be accepted until payment has been received. The team shall be entered on completion of registration and payment of the fee. All payments shall be made by electronic funds transfer to the above bank account or cash at the race office. 08. Entry Fee Penalty EURO 100 penalty for registration after July 10 th Sailing Instructions Wednesday from 12:00 pm available at registration office at the BSC 10. Skipper briefing Thursday, July 24 th, 2014, 09:00 am at the BSC 11. Schedule First start Thursday 24 th July 10:30 am Last start Sunday 27 th July 01:00 pm Spare day Sunday 27 th July Latest possibility for start will be 04:00 pm on Saturday July 26 th, in case of 3 valid races at this time. 12. Course Up and down (modified windward/leeward course) at the bay of Bregenz. 13. Number of Races A maximum of 9 races will be sailed, max. 4 races per day. 14. Scoring Low-Point-System for Racing Series. If 4, 5 or 6 races will be sailed, the highest score will not be scored. If there are more than 6 races the highest two will not be scored. 15. Prize giving ceremony Saturday 26 th July or Sunday 27 th July, date and time to be posted at the information board. 16. 9 17. Berths for Boats The OA will provide berths for all boats at BSC from July 23 rd to July 27 th 2014 (free of charge) 18. Event Program See page Surveying Surveying will take place on Wednesday, July 23 rd, starting at 12:00 pm. There is no first surveying of sails or boats. Control surveying of boats: Four boats will patrol prior to the event for detailed control. After each valid race a boat will be drawn for the general control and equipment check on the water. (A boat can only be drawn once) Boats that were built before 1925: Boats must have a valid measurement certificate. Competitors must acknowledge this prior to competing, and release the Organizing Authority and its sponsors and their respective office employees, volunteers and members from all liability by signing a form provided by the Organizing Authority. 10 KONTROLLVERMESSUNG (Es werden keine Erstvermessungen durchgeführt): Mittwoch :00-18:00 Uhr Registrierung und Vermessung Donnerstag :00-09:00 Uhr Nachvermessung 1. Gültiger Messbrief ist bei der Registrierung abzugeben 2. Folgende Gegenstände werden auf jedem Schiff geprüft: a) Schwimmwesten nach der Personenzahl der Besatzung b) 2 Stechpaddel c) 1 Bootshaken d) 1 Anker 15 kg e) 35 m Ankerleine, Durchmesser 14 mm oder 15,6 kn f) Spinnakerbaum, Länge g) Großsegel, Kontrolle Erstvermessungsstempel oder blaue Plakette Wir bitten die Teilnehmer, die zu prüfenden Gegenstände für die Kontrolle auf dem Boot bereitzuhalten. 3. Kontrollvermessung von 4 Booten vor der Veranstaltung 4 Segelnummern werden vor Beginn der Veranstaltung ausgelost und die Boote detailliert kontrolliert und vermessen. (Siehe Aushang am Schwarzen Brett.) 4. Kontrollvermessung von Booten auf dem Wasser Nach jeder gültigen Wettfahrt wird ein Schiff für die allgemeine Überprüfung der Ausrüstung auf dem Wasser ausgelost und vor dem Einlaufen in den Hafen kontrolliert.
