3 The AirSemblyTM Cloud Management Platform AirSembly has 3 core components: a marketplace storefront, billing & chargeback, and automation & provisioning all supporting multi-tier cloud distribution. Combined, these features enable you to quickly bring your cloud services to market through any type of distribution model. Automation & Provisioning Integrate your cloud services into your existing workflows, and track and report sales information at all levels in the sales channel. Provisioning is fully automated and additional products can be manually provisioned. AirSembly TM Marketplace Storefront Customize and brand your cloud product catalogue for any service, at any interval, for both private and public clouds, and also for individual sales channels and customers. Billing & Chargeback The AirSembly platform supports chargeback and billing capability. Automated metering, billing and invoicing is available for each level in the distribution channel, for all types of cloud services. The platform also supports prepaid billing with credit cards.

4 The vcloud Air Platform End Customer TM AirSembly Resellers End Customer Distributor Resellers End Customer vcenter, vcd, vcloud Air vcloud Air services can be sold directly to end customers, or through a multi-tier distribution model involving distributors and/or resellers. AirSembly is purpose-built for VMware, and to help you get the most from your VMware investment. Here is a quick overview of the AirSembly cloud management platform integration with vcloud Air. The AirSembly provider portal is the highest level in the platform, and is where the datacenter/iaas operation can register capacity, set up product pricing, and set up a multi-tier channel (if applicable). In the provider portal, the vcloud Air management page allows you to establish a connection with on of the global VMware vcloud Air datacenters. A product manager will create a vcloud Air service blueprint which includes setting the pricing for key elements of the vcloud Air service such as compute power, cores, RAM and storage tiers The AirSembly platform will support 3 types of vcloud Air compute services - dedicated cloud, virtual private cloud, and virtual private cloud on demand.

5 Each tier of the AirSembly platform supports the white-label branding. A service provider can white-label the servic e, so when a distributor signs into the platform, the provider s logo and branding are displayed. The provider can provide custom branding to distributors so they can go to market with their own branding. Similarly a distributor can customize/white-label their XaaS products and provide custom branding to their resellers. Finally, resellers can customize/white-label their XaaS products and provide custom pricing to their end customers. The self-service client portal support full lifecycle management of the vcloud Air virtual datacenter service. Once the service is created you can upload a vapp template and deploy it in the vcloud Air virtual datacenter. The platform allows you to stop, restart and delete the vapp as well as providing virtual console access, allowing the creation of snapshots, displaying virtual machine performance metrics, and converting existing vapps into new templates. An easy-to-use, self-service client portal allows the end customer to consume the vcloud Air services. It also allows for full lifecycle management of vcloud Air virtual datacenter compute services. A reseller can create a marketplace storefront consisting of 2 types of datacenters: Their own infrastructure based on vcloud Director or vcenter Resale of VMware s vcloud Air global datacenters. In either case the end customer can easily consume the services. The end customer can select a vcloud Air service with a customized configuration as defined by the reseller. Note that the pricing is automatically updated based on the selections. At the checkout stage the customer can order the product, or a salesperson can a quote to the end customer, save the quote on the customer account, or export it as a PDF. Once the customer orders the vcloud Air service, the AirSembly platform will automatically provision the services for consumption.
