2 Technical escription The B series units are characterized by split type construction. The main characteristic of the B units is that they are built in two parts: the condensing part, for installation on the ceiling or floor, outside the cold room, and the evaporating part to be installed on the ceiling, inside the cold room. This feature overcomes all problems due to lack of space outside the cold room preventing assembly of the monobloc; in fact the two parts can be installed some distance apart. The body of the condensing unit is made from epoxide powder painted steel sheet whereas the evaporator (cube type) has aluminium sheet bodywork. For B26-B36 the evaporators are of the floor type and have bodywork in epoxide powder painted steel sheet. In order to guarantee minimum heat loss in the cold room during the defrost stage, the evaporator air distribution ducts are supplied complete with automatic closing system. To reach the top of the cold room the evaporator air ducts are available (by request) in various heights (only for models B26-B36). The main characteristic of the condensing unit body is the presence of openable front doors or panels facilitating access to the cooling system. The compressors are of the air-tight type functioning with refrigerant R44A. The type of construction of the B units enables their use outside without any particular protection against the atmospheric agents. The system also provides for the use of all devices necessary for good operation in those conditions. B units are available in the standard applications in medium and low temperature, and also in special execution called Polivalente P (Multipurpose) enabling use of the cold room both in medium and in low temperature. The series called C, is equipped with two-stage compressors and is suitable for freezing tunnels. The units are complete with: - liquid receiver - liquid sightglass - line solenoid valve - thermostatic valve for expansion of the refrigerant - fully automatic, electric type defrost - heat exchanger, or liquid separator with heat exchanger - electrical panel (IP protection rating) complete with command and control material - condenser fan pressure switch (except for B22-B13) - pressure minimum and maximum pressure switches The electrical panel includes electromechanical type instrumentation that supervises all the unit functions The outer door has blocking and On signalling lamps.
