Strategies to Improve Reading in the Content Areas, Graduate Course, Landmark College Institute for Research and Training: Academic Year This hybrid on-line course focused on improving adolescent literacy through a sustained, collegial, and evidence-based approach. It provided teachers the knowledge they need to teach students how to read for meaning across the disciplines. The lessons met the standards and objectives of the National Council of Teachers of English/International Reading Association. Each module included readings, activities, weekly discussions and assignments submitted for feedback.
