Interact with College and University as representative of Undergraduate program to prospective students and alumni. Project Lever Participant Spring 2013 Participated in College of Arts and Letters pilot program to utilize specialized search technology to facilitate undergraduate research and particularly Senior Theses. Member, Hesburgh Public Service Program Review Committee Contributed to interdisciplinary review of the Hesburgh program as representative of the Economics Department. Committee researched history of the program, compared best practices of other similar programs and concluded with recommendation on future path. Faculty Advisor, Economics Dept., University of Notre Dame July 2012-present Meet with students in the areas of International Economics and Business Economics to discuss and approve their declaration of major forms and schedules as well as overall career goals TA Trainer, Economics Department, UCSC 2004 to 2012 Provide training for Economics Department teaching assistants through quarterly seminars and one on one mentoring of new teaching assistants. Coordinate with UCSC Title IX/Sexual Harassment and Disabilities Resource Center to provide additional training for teaching assistants. In this role, I work with administration, faculty and graduate and undergraduate students to support and educate teaching assistants in the department. This involves discussing their career and academic goals and determining an appropriate plan of study. 3 Member, Faculty Board for UCSC Center for Entrepreneurship 2010 to 2012 The Board provides oversight and guidance for the newly formed Center, both in the areas of research and curriculum planning. As a member of the curriculum subcommittee, I have been involved in a proposal for an Entrepreneurship minor. Member, Advisory Board for Annual UCSC Business Plan Competition, In the first year, worked with students, faculty and members of the Santa Cruz business community to plan and execute successfully UCSC s first business plan competition in On a continuing basis, I act as a mentor to participating students as well serving organizational functions. Speaker, Learning Support Services 2008 to 2012 Presented to groups of students and undergraduate tutors in a variety of settings on specific issues related to teaching and learning economics. Member, Committee on International Education Participated in faculty committee providing input on structure and content of international education programs throughout the University of California system as well as specifically on UCSC campus Member, Committee on Teaching Particpated in faculty committee related to wide ranging teaching issues such as encouraging multi-disciplinary courses, on-line courses, faculty professional development and faculty evaluation methods. PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES AP Economics Faculty Colloquium March, 2014 Participated in evaluation of AP Economics program to ensure the rigor and usefulness of the program. Colloquium included representatives of top universities, high school AP teachers and AP staff and researchers. Reviewer, Pearson Publishers Title: Microeconomics, Authors: Acemoglu, Liabson and List Provided detailed feedback on chapter content and accuracy. Also participated in specialized focus groups. 3 rd Annual AEA Conference on Teaching and May 29-31, 2013 Research in Economic Education Attended workshops and panel sessions related to teaching economics. Chaired and served as discussant for a session entitled, Normative Economics, Government Failure, and Contrasting Cases 2013 WEA International Annual Conference, Seattle June 28-July 2, 2013 Panelist at: 3

Coach/Mentor, Astia, 2006-present Astia is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting women entrepreneurs, particularly in the tech field. Each year, a number of companies are selected to participate in their program. These companies are assigned mentors to help them write their business plans, deal with financial issues, etc. I have worked as part of this organization for three years and have mentored three companies. Participant, Teaching Innovations Programs Summer 2009 Selected to participate in TIP, a program developed by the American Economics Association to improve the quality of teaching economics. The program includes a kickoff conference as well as ongoing mentoring by the TIP staff. Awards and Special Recognitions: Disabilities Resource Center Award Spring 2010 The award is given for exemplary efforts to create a welcoming campus climate for students with disabilities, especially those with learning, psychological, Autism Spectrum, and other disabilities that are not always apparent.
