5 S E C T I ON 1 Prerequisites The following are prerequisites for the Kaltura Video Plugin for Jive: Kaltura Jive 6 or Jive 7 A Kaltura Partner account A Kaltura Application Framework instance Before Starting the Deployment Process Contact your Kaltura representative to create a Kaltura Application Framework instance for your Kaltura Video Plugin for Jive. You should receive the following: The launch point base URL that will be used further in the process. The Administration application login page URL. Deployment Process Workflow The following workflow describes the deployment process. 1. Install the Kaltura Video Plugin. 2. Configure the Kaltura Video Plugin for Jive Settings. 6 S E C T I ON 2 Deploying the Kaltura Video Plugin for Jive This section describes how to deploy and configure the Kaltura Video Plugin for Jive. To deploy the Kaltura Video Plugin into your Jive environment Download the Kaltura Video Plugin for Jive file. See corp.kaltura.com/products/video- Applications/Jive-Video-Plugin. Login to Jive s Administrator Console and go to System > Plugins > Add Plugin. Click on Choose File and browse to the Kaltura Video Plugin for Jive file that you downloaded. Click Upload. Restart your Jive application server. After the JAR file is deployed, it is displayed under Installed Plugins. After the plugin installation is complete, configure the plugin system properties. 7 S E C T I ON 3 Configuring the Kaltura Video Plugin for Jive The Kaltura Video Plugin for Jive stores settings in the Jive System Properties. Jive System Properties are name/value pairs that configure particular aspects of Jive. To configure the Kaltura Video Plugin for Jive system properties Login to Jive s Administrator Console and go to System > Management > System Properties. Scroll down the property list to locate the Add new property section. Enter the following Property Name and Property Value pairs and click on Save Property for each pair. Property Name kaltura.partnerid kaltura.admin.secret kaltura.service.url kaltura.instance.url Property Value / Description Your Kaltura Partner ID. The partner ID can be obtained from your KMC, under Settings > Integration Settings. See To access the account info in the KMC. The admin secret of your Kaltura account. The secret can be obtained from your KMC, under Settings > Integration Settings. See To access the account info in the KMC. If a value is not specified it will default to The Kaltura Application Framework launch point. You can obtain this value from your Kaltura representative. 8 Configuring the Kaltura Video Plugin for Jive To edit the Kaltura Video Plugin for Jive system properties Login to Jive s Administrator Console and go to System > Management > System Properties. Scroll down the property list to kaltura.* properties Click the Edit icon to open the appropriate property. Enter the Property Value and click Save Property.
