The scope of work and other details for the development of software are given in enclosed annexure. You are requested to quote for the above mentioned work giving charges all inclusive along with your credentials on the subject and other terms and conditions in a sealed envelope latest by upto hrs. 2 Annexure 1.0 Scope of Work: Regular backup solution including Hardware and desired Software to integrate with existing Software of Vendor Support System along with full time Resource for Database Updating & Data authorization. Work should include the following: - Portability & implementation of Online Solution to Local Server at RDSO - Development of Software for Synchronization of Online and Offline data. - Hourly & daily backup with full time resource to manage the database. - Database authentication with Rights & Privileges for Local users via customized Software for Vendor Support o Online Vendor Registration o Online Sale of Specification & drawings for Vendor & Non Vendor items o Product Monitoring Inspection System - Providing offline Software Vendor data to RDSO officers - Installation of o Operating System -Windows 2008 Server o Database Server Microsoft SQL Server o Internet Information Server o.net Enable Software s o FTP Server o Antivirus The Software implementation on server should include Product Inspection Monitoring System, Specifications, Drawings & STR for items for which vendors are approved by RDSO and other items, Online Vendor Registration & Monitoring System

3 Details of above work: 1. Creation of parallel web based environment in the QA Mechanical directorate as on the internet server. 2. Installation & Configuration of Server 3. Configuration and customization of softwares listed above 4. Configuration of backup software for online scheduling of backup activity 5. Providing a trained resource for daily data backup and restoration. 6. Providing emergency services in case of data crash on web server 7. Complete mirroring and backup of online database including files and folders created by users attaching documents with applications forwarding to the directorate. 8. 4 The system management software should provide role-based security. It should help to provide proactive notification of actual or impending component failure alerts on critical components like CPU, Memory and HDD. It should support automatic event handling that allows configuring policies to notify failures via , pager, or SMS gateway or automatic execution of scripts. It should support scheduled execution of OS commands, batch files, scripts, and command line apps on remote nodes. It should be able to perform comprehensive system data collection and enable users to quickly produce detailed inventory reports for managed devices. It should support the reports to be saved in HTML, CSV or XML format. It should help to proactively identify out-of-date BIOS, drivers, & server management agents and enable the remote update of system software/firmware components. The server management Software should be of the same brand as of the server. Trained Technical Resource (to be deployed for the above purpose) should have the following requisite professional Software & Hardware qualification- - MCA / B.Tech with Microsoft Certified Database Administrator Work of Trained Technical Resource would include - Should be able to install, run & troubleshoot application software - Should be able to configure OS, Database etc. - Should be able to configure and customize the softwares listed above - Should be able to Configure backup software for online scheduling of backup activity - Should be able to enter data as per the software requirement - Should be able to modify & de-list vendors - Should have knowledge of Network troubleshooting - Should have knowledge of Data Back-up & Restoration in standard software s like Oracle & MS-SQL

5 Additional Features of software: i) The software should be easy to install & ready to use, user friendly, easily accessible through internet explorer, Mozilla Fox etc. ii) Software Should be network based on LAN, WAN and internet. iii) The software will be developed over server technology. iv) The printable MIS report should be customised as per the users requirement. v) The software should have in-built security features based on role basis using password level protection. vi) The source code along with software design will be RDSO s property & the developer/firm will have no claim over it. The Firm should provide the complete documentation. vii) In case, any change is required during development of software and before accepting final software, necessary changes may be incorporated in the software. Warranty and service support 1. The work would be initially for two years & would include free service complete support, including debugging if required for the softwares mentioned. 2. Trained Resident Technical Resource should be made available daily on all working days between 0930 Hrs to 1700 Hrs & must attend and rectify the problems immediately.

The tenderer is required to quote rate against item both in words & figures failing which his tender is liable to be rejected. 2. Tender consists of o1 to 10 Non-schedule items. 3. Contractor should submit their PAN and Bank Account No. separately.

7 4. Income tax as per rate applicable shall be deducted at sources. 5. All taxes legally livable shall be borne by the contractor nothing extra will be paid. 6. The Director/QAM reserve the right to terminate the contract at any time in case the service provided by the contractor is not found to the satisfaction of the customer. 7. The company agrees to attend any number to break down calls. 8. In case of major break down, the contractor will provide a standby arrangement till the defective work is rectified and reinstalled. 9. Payment will be made six monthly after satisfactory completion of the work. 10. Security Deposit recovered only from the running bills at the rate of 10% of the bill amount till the full Security Deposit is recovered.
