Keuda, the vocational college for Keski-Uusimaa, offers classes in the centre of Mäntsälä and in the village of Saari. At Lukkarinpolku in the city centre Keuda trains the experts of the future: vehicle fitters, spare parts salespeople, builders, electricians, warehouse managers and chefs. Saari manor offers training in natural resources and the environment as well as the technology and transport sectors. Over half of the students are in adult education. Saari also serves as the Saari campus for Helsinki University s faculty of veterinary medicine. At the production animal hospital the vets of the future receive training and take part in top research in their field.

6 Hot air balloons are a common sight in the sky above Mäntsälä, especially on clear days in late winter. Mäntsälä has already hosted two Finnish hot air balloon championships. 7 Riding is a popular form of exercise in Mäntsälä all year round and an ideal way of exploring the countryside. UNIQUE ACCOMMODATION History and the romance of the manor house Mäntsälä is known for its manor houses. There are 15 beautiful, historic houses in the region, some of which are open to the public. Alikartano, or Frugård, is the childhood home of Adolf Erik Nordenskiöld who discovered the North-East Passage and a history and nature trail runs through the river valley in its grounds.
