2 Declaration of conformity The motors described in this catalogue satisfy the essential requisites of the following Directives: - 72/23/EEC Low Voltage Directive Reference has also been made to the following directives, specifically for the reasons listed as follows: - EMC 89/336/EEC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Directive /42/CE Machinery Directive The electric motors/generators are components that are incorporated into other machines, systems and plants and therefore the resulting EMC behaviour is under the responsibility of the Manufacturer of the machine or plant incorporating the motor/generator. With reference to the 2006/42/EC Directive, it must be specified that the motors/generators must be installed in compliance with the installation instructions and cannot be put into service until the machine in which they are incorporated has been declared in compliance with the 2006/42/EC Machinery Directive. Half-key balancing, normal class Final colour: frames RAL9006 (pearl grey) frames RAL5010 (blue) All motors are in conformity with European Directives and are CE marked. Motors can run(when grid connected) with voltage variation of ± 10% and frequency variation of ± 5% with a maximum combined variation of ± 10%, with temperature rise in compliance with IEC Standards. Inverter duty Stator windings The AL series motors are expressely designed and manufactured for inverter duty, referring to the IEC guidelines (EN ). Stator windings are manufactured using the following cautions: - Double layer insulated copper wire - Vacuum impregnation using high quality impregnating resin - Phase windings separation Motors can be used in tropical climates without further treatment The use of inverter requires some cautions: it is recommended to use filter between inverter and motor and to not exceed 30mt cable length (over 30mt, the use of filters is compulsory) It is advisable that max dv/dt at motor terminals is 1.5kV/µsec, max peak voltage 1500V (voltage <500V; for voltage higher than 500V please ask SICMEMOTORI). Insulated bearing from frame 250 and above is strongly recommended. Ratings and technical data The tables of technical data are referred to continuous duty S1, an ambient temperature of C and a max altitude of 1000 m.a.s.l.. In different environmental conditions output ratings vary, and are obtainable by applying the factors showed in table 6, maintaining the temperature rise within the B insulation class (F insulation class when inverter supplied). 4 Mounting arrangements AL series motors are available as IM1001 (B3), IM3001 (B5), IM3601 (B14) and combined versions such as IM2001 (B35) and IM2101 (B34). Motors can also be installed in the corresponding vertical shaft configuration. Please refer to the following table. 5 Power supply different than rated values Three-phase electric motors can be used on European Network 230/400V ±10% (50Hz). 20 Pulse generator A hollow shaft (15 mm diameter) pulse generator can be assembled to control the motor speed; usually, pulse generator terminals are loose. SICMEMOTORI can supply the following pulse generators: Pulses per rev. Electronic Supply Signals voltage Type 1024* HTL 4,5 32Vdc 130Vdc VFS * TTL 4,5 32Vdc 5Vdc VFS60 *Pulses per revolutions can be programmed in the range ppr Other pulse generators, with same fixing dimensions, can be assembled by the customer itself. Pulse generators can be mounted on IC411 and IC416 motors. In both cases, dimensions L and LB increase of the L value indicated in the Auxiliary blowers data table (page 19) Pulse generator can not be mounted for motors with second power shaft end. Terminal box and cable glands Terminal box is on top, near the DE side, IP55 degree of protection (provided that supply cable connection is properly made). It can be rotate through 90 to 90. The terminal board is normally equipped with 6 terminals, and it is made with non hygroscopic and anti-mold material. Ground terminal is located inside the terminal box. Temperature sensors (Pt100) Comply with BIN-IEC 751 standards. The resistance caries proportionally to the winding temperature. It must be connected to a dedicated device (not included in Sicme Motori supply). Winding: three Pt100 in the motor winding, one per phase. Bearings: one Pt100 installed in the bearing housing. Terminals are installed in a specific terminal box. Heaters Heaters are recommended for motors operating in environments with high degree of moisture, or with considerable temeparture variations or with low temperature (dabger of ice). Heaters are resistances fixed on the coils head, they must be used when motor is not running, to avoid the condensation inside the motor itself.
