4 International Credit Mobility International opening of Erasmus 135,000 grants in 6 years For students & staff (for learning & teaching) Based on inter-institutional agreements Action managed by National Agencies located in Europe European universities apply on behalf of the partnership Funding for travel, substinence, institutional support

5 International Credit Mobility All levels (short cycle, Bachelor, Master, PhD) + recent graduates + all disciplines 3 to 12 months for studies Traineeships not currently open to Partner Countries (scheduled to start in 2016) Up to 12 months per study cycle For staff 5 days to 2 months for instruction or training 8 hours teaching per week

6 Joint Masters Degrees Creation of prestigious, international study programmes of excellent quality aimed at attracting the very best students from all over the world Developed & delivered by a consortium of Programme country & if relevant also Partner country universities Minimum of 3 HEIs as full partners from at least 3 different Programme Countries Includes a mandatory study period in at least two different Programme Countries Last between one and two years Lead to the award of fully recognised joint or multiple degrees

7 Joint Masters Degrees Grant around 3 million EUR Consortium management costs for a preparatory year and 3 consecutive intakes Costs of invited scholars/guest lecturers contributing to the delivery and the excellence of the EMJMD High level students scholarships awarded to the best master students worldwide (A minimum of 75 % of EMJMD scholarships will be earmarked for candidates from Partner Countries). 8 Capacity Building in HE => Capacity-Building Projects are transnational cooperation projects based on partnerships primarily between higher education institutions (HEIs) from Programme and eligible Partner Countries Development of HE systems in Partner Countries Relevance to Partner Country (need analysis) Institutional - Systemic approach Bottom-up Strong emphasis on dissemination sustainability
