I am a first year student at The Manchester School of Technology. As i come from a technical school, this field trip had some new experiences with technology as well as some I have seen before. I very much enjoyed the Girls Technology Day field trip. It was extremely nice to get a day where girls were recognized only. This is an event I think that NHTI should continue in the future. Throughout this field trip, I found some things better than others. In order for this event can grow to be an amazing event for many years after this, I think this was a great idea to get our feedback so here is mine! Another thing that i appreciated was the lunches. They were delicious and savory, i was almost tempted to go get another serving! I didn t have a chance to try everything, but what I did have was way better than the school lunches I have at my school. Now there s to look forward to in college! In Vex Robotics I learned that robots are more than just little metal people, they are everywhere: microwaves, doctor tools, computers, and a lot more! The day started off with an uplifting presentation, that gave me more confidence walking out then I had walking in. They told me that I could be a leader, and I could have a successful life. And after the day passed by, I began to believe them. Thank you NHTI, for inspiring me, showing me new possibilities, building my confidence, and believing in me.

The Not Positives Need Stipends for the presenters- most gave up their vacation Days to help out More space is needed Need more time have busses not needed back so soon Have a better response to the surveys and essays- since the Students are not from the same classrooms in the schools, there Was little follow-up with the teachers
Next year 300 girls Have 25 workshops- repeating the popular ones National guest speaker Job fair with exhibitors Donations to give the presenters a stipend More colleges and industry involved
Am I crazy.. I cant wait for next year..
Other ways we have promoted non-traditional careers in NH NH Construction Career Days : Paid for bus if 10% females attending 500 students a day. % of females has risen from 5% to 13% (www. Building Camp for Girls A one week camp for 20 girls a day to build picnic tables and Adirondack chairs. Hired a female builder that runs Girls At Work (
