Entry requirements The academic requirements vary between courses and you will find details about these on the relevant course page at We have provided an overview of the academic requirements below. USA High School Diploma with GPA above 3.0, plus one of the following: SAT I (combined score, including writing, depends on subject applied for)* minimum of 3 APs from Group A** subjects with grades above 3 ACT with a score of approximately 26 *Engineering, Science and Maths degrees require specific subject knowledge, therefore you may require a relevant SAT II subject test. **Group A subjects include Biology, Calculus AB/BC, Chemistry, Physics, European History, US History, World History, English Language and Literature, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin and Spanish. Canada Ontario: Ontario Secondary School Diploma Advanced level, with six Grade 12 U, U/C or M courses including grade 12 U English Alberta: General High School Diploma with an average of at least 65 per cent in five acceptable Grade 12 courses British Columbia: Senior Secondary Graduation Diploma with at least five Bs (BBBBB) awarded in acceptable Grade 12 courses Quebec: Diplôme d'etudes Collègiales (DEC) If you are from another Canadian province, please us for more information. 4 Coming to the UK Money Matters Visas (non- EU nationals) Students will need a visa to study in the UK. A Tier 4 (General) Student visa also allows them to work up to 20 hours per week during term time. Living costs enjoys a low cost of living compared with many other cities in the south east of England. The amount of money students spend will depend on their individual lifestyle, although as a guide they will need approximately 7,000 8,000 / US$11,654 US$13,319 for a full academic year. This should cover accommodation, food, local travelling expenses, books, stationery and leisure activities. They can apply for a Tier 4 (General) Student visa once they have received their Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from the University of. It is a dedicated service assisting your students with the registration procedure, introducing them to local services, and arranging guided city tours for them to get to know. All students also benefit from a departmental Induction Programme to introduce them to all aspects of their academic programme and environment at. More information can be found at Tuition fees Fees can either be paid in full, on or before registration, receiving a two per cent full payment discount, or by five equal instalments paid by direct debit through a UK bank account in November, December, January, February and March. A deposit is required before the CAS is issued. Students who pay two years fees (or more) in full in advance, or during the first week of their course, can pay a fixed entry fee for those years (at the fee rate for your year of entry) and therefore avoid the small annual increase in tuition fees. They will also be given the two per cent payment discount.
