2 The International Teachers Programme The International Teachers Programme is a faculty-development programme organised by the International Schools of Business Management (ISBM), a group of ten leading Business Schools located in Europe and the United States. ITP also welcomes business educators from outside ISBM. ITP has served over 1,000 high calibre faculty and educators from many countries since it started more than 30 years ago. During this period, the Programme rotated between the ISBM Schools. ITP is hosted by the SDA Bocconi School of Management for the academic years and The SDA Bocconi School of Management The SDA Bocconi School of Management was founded in 1971 by Università Bocconi. 3 General Information The International Teachers Programme accepts a limited number of participants. The Programme starts in October 2008 and ends in July Admissions are on a rolling basis and there is no official deadline. However, given the limited number of places available in the Programme, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible and no later than September 5 th, Applicants will receive an answer in 3-4 weeks. Admission Procedure Application for Admission and Basic Requirements The Application Form must be filled out, either typed or handwritten, using all capital letters. You must sign each page with your first and family names. Regarding the open questions, the space available is considered enough for a clear and concise answer. In order to make ITP a fruitful experience, participants should have: Strong personal motivation to take part; An open mind to challenge discussions; Full support from their home Institution; Fluency with both written and spoken English. You Must Send along with the Application: Four recent passport-size photographs; Your business card; Personal and Professional Curriculum (maximum 2 pages), describing your teaching experiences. Admission Process The Admissions Committee will review your Application Form and the related documents. Please notice that the Application will be taken into consideration only when it is complete. Then you will receive a communication about the result of your Application. If your Application is sent after deadline, you might be placed on a waiting list or forwarded to the admission process for the next edition of the Programme. In any case, the Admissions Committee s decision is indisputable. 4 Participation Fee and Terms of Payment The participation fee for attending the Programme is 12,000 (twelve thousand Euros), VAT tax not applicable. Once Registration is completed, any cancellation after September 12 th, 2008 will incure in penalty of paying the whole participation fee. The participation fee covers tuition, personal coaching, educational materials, accommodation and meals. Ways of Payment: Non-transferable bank check made payable to «Università Commerciale L. Bocconi»; Bank transfer, following the instructions in the Registration Form; Credit card. We strongly encourage you to read carefully the Prospectus and this Form before starting to fill it in. You are kindly requested to indicate here below an address, where you can receive confidential information about your Application. Please type or write clearly! Registration If your Application is accepted, you will receive the Registration Form. Starting from the day of receipt, you have 15 days to complete the Registration; the Registration Form must be completely filled in, signed, and sent us together with the payment for the participation fee.
