7 About the GTA Ontario & the GTA: Committed to investing in infrastructure Since 2003, the government of Ontario has invested $62 billion in infrastructure. The province has not had this level of investment since the post-war era; when many of the foundations of our current infrastructure, including the Toronto subway and the 400-series highways, were first laid.

10 About the GTA Construction Growth: Toronto skyline WHITE = the project has had preliminary renders RED = the project has submitted an application to the city GREEN = the project has been approved, but has yet to start construction YELLOW = the project is currently in sales BLUE = the project is currently under construction There are 169 high-rise buildings under construction in the city. Toronto has the most high-rise cranes for any city in all of North America. Held across the GTA, the 2015 Pan Am Games has required construction of many venues..

11 About the GTA: Waterfront Toronto project Waterfront Toronto is undertaking one of the largest waterfront revitalization initiatives in the world with the transformation of 800 hectares of formerly industrial, underused lands into new showcase mixed-use communities. 12 About the GTA Key GTA infrastructure projects under construction Name Project Description Estimated Cost (Cdn $) Status Halton Healthcare Services - New Oakville Hospital The new Oakville hospital will be a state-of-the-art facility and include a full range of health services such as complex continuing care, rehabilitation and acute care. $2 billion Under construction Highway 407 East - Phase One The Highway 407 East Extension project will be completed in two phases. Phase one extends the highway by about 22 kilometres from Brock Road in Pickering to Harmony Road in Oshawa and connects Highways 407 and 401 with a 10-kilometre link. The new link is called West Durham Link. $1 Billion Under construction Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning The Humber College infrastructure project involves the construction of a new Learning Resource Commons, an academic support and student services facility that will be built on the college s North Campus. $84.2 million Under construction Humber River Regional Hospital The new Humber River Regional Hospital includes construction of a new facility on a new site in north-western Toronto, one of the most culturally diverse and fastestgrowing communities in Canada. Once completed, the Humber River Regional Hospital will offer a comprehensive range of services to support inpatient and outpatient programs. $1.75 billion Under construction Markham Stouffville Hospital Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH) is the community hospital for Markham, Stouffville and Uxbridge, with two sites located in Markham and Uxbridge. The redevelopment project includes a four-storey addition that will add 385,000 square feet doubling, the size of the MSH facility. $200.4 million Under construction Public Health Laboratory at MaRS Centre Women's College Hospital The project involves building Public Health Ontario s new Toronto public health laboratory at MaRS Centre Phase 2. The new laboratory, which will replace an existing facility located in the west end of Toronto, will be constructed within the top four floors of the Phase 2 Tower at the MaRS Centre in downtown Toronto. The Women s College Hospital redevelopment project involves the construction of a new 630,000 square foot hospital on the hospital s current Grenville Street site in downtown Toronto. $54 million Under construction $460 million Under construction

13 About the GTA Key GTA infrastructure projects: Requests for Proposals Open Company Project Estimated Cost (Cdn $) Casey House Facility Replacement Project Casey House is a treatment facility for people with HIV/AIDS. The Casey House redevelopment project will provide more efficient, seamless care by consolidating all programs and services under one roof. The project involves renovating an existing heritage property at 571 Jarvis Street and incorporating a new 48,000-square-foot facility that will be built at 119 Isabella Street. N/A Status RFP open Trillium Health Partners: Credit Valley Hospital Priority Areas Redevelopment Project Trillium Health Partners is one of the largest community-based acute care facilities in Canada. Comprised of Credit Valley Hospital, the Mississauga Hospital and the Queensway Health Centre, Trillium Health Partners serves the growing and diverse populations of Mississauga, West Toronto and surrounding communities. Trillium Health Partners is a research and teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto Mississauga and the Mississauga Academy of Medicine. N/A RFP open Eglinton Crosstown LRT The Eglinton Crosstown will run across Eglinton Avenue between Mount Dennis (Weston Road) and Kennedy Station. The 19-kilometre corridor will include a 10-kilometre underground portion, between Keele Street and Laird Drive. It will have 25 stops and stations, linking to bus routes, three subway stations and various GO Transit lines. N/A RFP open ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development The redevelopment project will provide new facilities that will allow ErinoakKids to consolidate programs and services from nine existing sites to three new sites that will be purpose-built for special-needs children. The main facility will be approximately 160,000 square feet and will be located in Brampton, with the other two sites in Mississauga and Halton, each approximately 62,000 square feet. N/A RFP open Joseph Brant Hospital The project will include the construction of a new, six-storey patient-care tower and significant renovations to existing space. The project will also result in the construction of a new, stand-alone power plant that will serve the expanded facility. N/A RFP open

The Phase II expansion project will involve the design and construction of a new facility on the existing campus in Mississauga. N/A RFP open St. Michael's Hospital The project will include the construction of a new 17 storey patient-care tower at the corner of Queen and Victoria Streets, and the renovation of approximately 150,000 square feet of existing space. Highway 407 East Phase 2 The Highway 407 East Phase 2 project will: extend Highway 407 about 22 kilometres from Harmony Road in Oshawa to Highway 35/115 in Clarington. connect Highways 401 and 407 East with a 10-kilometre East Durham Link that will serve as a north-south freeway; provide eight new interchanges, as well as, three freeway-to-freeway connections to Highway 407 East and Highway 401 York Viva Bus Rapid Transit Expansion from the East Durham Link and Highway 35/115 This phase of the vivanext rapidways is being delivered using the AFP model. Once the AFP contract is awarded, York Region Rapid Transit Corporation (URRTC) will continue to project manage all day-to-day construction operations and York Region will operate YRT/Viva service.
