Åêìåôáëëåõüìåíïé áõôü ôï ìýñéóìá öüóìáôïò (ðïõ ðñïêýðôåé üôáí ãßíåé õéïèýôçóç ôïõ DSO) êáé êüíïíôáò ñþóç ôùí ðáñáðüíù ðõëþíùí, åßíáé äõíáôþ ç áíüðôõîç åíüò ðåñéâüëëïíôïò óõíýíùóçò, ôï ïðïßï ìðïñåß íá ðáñý åé ðëþèïò åôåñïãåíþí õðçñåóéþí óôïõò ðïëßôåò ìéáò ðüëçò, ç ïðïßá Ý åé õéïèåôþóåé ôçí ðñïôåéíüìåíç DSO ðñïóýããéóç. Ôï äßêôõï 3G ëïéðüí, äåí åßíáé ìüíï ôï ðéï ãñþãïñï êáé áîéüðéóôï ìýóï äéáíïìþò õðçñåóéþí áëëü êáé âåëôéþíåé êáé õðïóôçñßæåé íýåò õðçñåóßåò ðïõ ìðïñåß íá ðñïóöýñïõí ïé broadcasters. Óå ó Ýóç ìå ôá óõóôþìáôá 2,5G (GPRS) ç éêáíüôçôá êáé ôá ðëåïíåêôþìáôá ôùí äéêôýùí 3G åßíáé ðïëý óçìáíôéêü, áëëü ìå ôçí Üìåóç áôïìéêþ äéáíïìþ ðïëõìýóùí ìåóþ áõôþí ôùí äéêôýùí, ôá 3G óýíôïìá èá õðåñöïñôùèïýí.
