Provide on-going 3rd level technical support globally for MS Windows and SuSE Linux Enterprise Server Operating System server loads by monitoring the GIRS queues 2. Re-assigning mis-queued GIRS tickets to appropriate queues, initial customer contact, problem troubleshooting and resolution, escalations to OS OEM as required. Basic administration of Testing Lab servers (QAC, FSIL, RAS environments) 1. Process requests to stage servers (physical or virtual) in any of the Testing Labs. 2. Monitor GIRS queue for lab requests. 3. Installing certified Windows or Linux OS (e.g. Windows 2003, Windows 2008 (Standard Edition / Enterprise Edition), SuSE Linux 9, SuSe Linux 10, 64bit and 32-bit versions) on a variety of physical and server hardware configurations remotely (ILO/RSA/VC) Quality and Certification (QAC) Tester 1. Conduct testing of Operating Systems and related components when they are submitted to the QAC. 2. Follow installation guide (submitted with each component) and provide feedback via online QAC tool. Tester passes, fails or returns component based on outcome of testing. Follow test matrix (submitted with each component) and provide feedback.

Windows SMS Job Code: Level 3 Support Skill: Windows SMS Experience: 6-8 yrs Knowledge of computer operations and server environment required 6 years of experience and operational knowledge of Core Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 & System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM 2007) 2 years of experience and operational knowledge of Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) & System Center Operation Manager (SCOM 2007) Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft windows based operating systems and the Active Directory. Act at a first level contact for SMS / MOMs server issues. Migrate the SMS infrastructure to new releases and versions on a global basis after developmental certification. Assist the SMS development team in the certification of new releases and patches to the SMS infrastructure. Manage the sever software / hardware upgrades on a global basis. Manages the process of SMS software delivery package creation, software pushes to clients, SMS client/server communication configuring and troubleshooting, hardware/software inventory maintenance, SMS infrastructure documentation, and develops processes.
