2 SUBJECTS OF PGDME [ certified by Jadavpur University School of Education Technology and The Strategy Academy]: Economic Analysis of Business Context Analysis of Financial and Cost Performance for decision making and control Managing and Leading for Excellence: Performance and Development Perspective Quantitative Analysis for managerial decision making Human Resource Management Financial Management Operations Management Marketing Management Strategic Management Entrepreneurship and New Business Plan Comprehensive project SPECIALIZATION AREAS [any one of the following areas to be selected but shall be offered if there are at least 15 interested participants for each such are] certified by The Strategy Academy Sales, customer service and distribution: Finance and Control Analytics Operations, Supply Chain and Project Management Strategic Management and Leadership ACTION LEARNING BASED COMPREHENSIVE PROJECT: In addition to 10 PGDME subjects listed above, a real-life and application focused project will be taken up by each participant to apply the concepts learnt and skills acquired in each specialization subject. The project work will have to be completed within 1 month of completion of PGDME classes and examinations. Any participant planning to start an entrepreneurial venture of his/her own will write his/her future business plan as a part of the project work. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS WHO ARE NOT WORKING FULL TIME WITH ANY ORGANIZATION: SIX MONTHS OF COMPULSORY INTERNSHIP [applicable in cases of those participants who will opt for attending 50% of faculty conducted classes in physical class rooms in Calcutta]: Each PGDME Participant, not working with any organization, has to undergo a compulsory 6 month of internship with an organization. Successful completion of the 6 month of internship, as confirmed by the organization giving opportunity to do internship, will be one of the pre-conditions for getting successful completion certificate from the Academy SIX MONTHS OF COMPULSORY FIELD AND DESK RESEARCH [applicable in cases of those participants who will NOT opt for attending 50% of faculty conducted classes in physical class rooms in Calcutta]:

3 Each PGDME Participant, not working with any organization, has to undertake a compulsory 6 month of field and desk research on specific industries in order to get a first-hand experience of real life working in industry. Such a compulsory 6 month of field and desk research will be guided by the faculty of the Academy.
