All the courses are offered on the weekdays from Monday through Friday. Once enrolled in the program, students are required to take at minimum 4 courses (8 credits) per semester. The sequence of courses is designed in order from Mandatory to Elective. Students must complete mandatory courses prior to taking electives. 5 foundation in order to be able to pick the right angle to identify and capture business opportunities. MBA Degree Curriculum Program Schedule Course Type Required Credits Beginning in March, 2013 Mandatory (12 courses, 2 credits each) 24 Two-Year (Four Semesters) Electives (4 courses, 2 credits each) 8 March & September Enrollment Total 32 Mandatory Courses (Establish Sound Business Foundation) The Mandatory Courses provide students with a comprehensive range of concepts and knowledge that will, systematically and progressively, allow students to establish a strong management foundation, and empower students to continuously learn and build skills and abilities on their own. The GMBA program focusing on Entrepreneurship, trains students to gain knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to develop organizational/technological resources, and protect intellectual property of corporate knowledge. This program will provide various simulative experiential exercises for students to practice in order to cultivate the way of entrepreneurial thinking on both individual and collective level. For example, students will learn to understand and explain, among many ongoing questions, one of pervasive, striking, but controversial topics on teamwork is: how to create an organizational environment that fosters not only efficient but also effective collaboration, communication and commitment of top executive team, in order to achieve and sustain organizational success and maintain the spirit of organizational entrepreneurship, regardless of whether the organization is local, virtual and/or global. Students of the GMBA Program, upon completing the mandatory courses, are expected to build a foundation that is beyond the scope and boundaries of General MBA Programs, which are mainly focusing on general management courses, teamwork and/or IT related trainings. Instead, students from this program will be guided, step by step, throughout the entire program courses, which are particularly tailored for students to learn and master the KSAs required to identify and capture the existing, or to develop/create new entrepreneurial opportunities. Elective Courses (Skills and Abilities of Diagnosing, Planning and Implementing) The elective courses are designed, based on a careful consideration of the most important issues faced in today s entrepreneurship, to guide students to obtain competitive skills and abilities needed in their respective specializations, and/or complementary to diagnosing entrepreneur opportunities, planning to penetrate the market, and implementing business plan(s). To successfully complete the GMBA Program, students must complete four electives of their own choices in addition to the core mandatory courses. Global MBA Program, College of Business Administration, CUK, Seoul, Korea. Page 4 of 10

6 Concentration of the Courses Entrepreneurship by nature is marketing oriented, penetrating into an existing but underserved or un-served market (disruptive), and/or developing a new market (radical) etc. Following this line of reasoning, students of the GMBA Program will systematically take Marketing and Technological Innovation related courses, which can be broken up into a number of categories including: research, focused strategies, new product development, product promotion (branding, advertising), and tactics of marketing diversification. To gain those aforementioned entrepreneurial techniques, the GMBA Program emphasizes the focus on courses which are practically applicable in diagnosing and developing market potentials by studying the concepts, theories, principles, and terminology of brand management, and skillsand-abilities oriented courses such as target market identification, message strategy, media choice, and advertising evaluation as well as those conventional qualitative and quantitative marketing research methodologies available to managers. The design of these courses must aim at preparing students to gain competitive skills and abilities required to make the right decisions in order to capture opportunities, reduce/avoid risks, and handle challenges encountered in both local and international markets.
