In 2014, researchers developed an advanced test for a new Hepatitis C cure, and Westminster Business School was awarded at the Academy of Management Conference in recognition of its advanced research. The student services team organise many different social activities throughout each term and promote local attractions, events and festivals. You ll also receive a pre-arrival guide, full of essential information and advice for your journey. WHEN YOU ARRIVE From the moment you land in the UK, we are there for you. We can pick you up from the airport, take you to your accommodation in London and ensure you feel safe and comfortable in your new surroundings. YOUR FIRST WEEK During the first week of your course, you will meet your teachers and be introduced to your course and the modules you will study. Staff will show you around the College and point out the facilities that you can use, such as libraries, study rooms, computers and student clubs. In addition, we organise a tour of the local area and provide important information, such as how to find a local doctor or set up a bank account. SUPPORT WHEN YOU NEED IT Our student services team is based on-site at the College and is completely dedicated to making sure you are happy during your time in London. From welfare and academic assistance, to travel and accommodation guidance, the Team are available to offer friendly advice and answer any questions you may have throughout your course. Special arrangements are put in place for those students with disabilities and we welcome all to apply. Support for parents We have made a useful parents guide to help answer parents questions about studying and living in the UK. All parents receive an invitation to our parents event during the first week of your course, where they can join campus and city tours and meet key college staff. We also send parents regular updates on your academic progress and well-being, as well as offering an extra guardianship service for students under the age of 18. The most rewarding thing about working at KIC London is that, as a former international student, I can share my own experience and help students in their international education. I really enjoy that.
