Create a template for developing partnerships with organizations: rationale, benefits, supervisors time commitment, etc. 4. Initiate post-program internship with healthrelated organizations 5. Match masters and doctoral student interests with research project opportunities available through above external organizations

Enhancing the Student Experience A.5 Create defining experiences for all Faculty of Health students A.5.4 Develop a plan to strengthen the Bachelor of Health Studies program re: of growth and quality of applicant Form a Task Force on SHPM undergraduate education to assess: i. Options and targets for applicant quality and enrollment growth in Bachelor of Health Studies (BHS) ii. Possibilities for outreach, branding and marketing including 10 th anniversary July 1, 2011 iii. Contribute to a potential BA in Health program Task Force Steering Committee 3 sub-committees: 1. Strengthen and market the Bachelor of Health Studies (BHS) A comprehensive plan to address BHS enrollment growth and applicant quality & position the School for the future. Plan will include priorities, proposed actions & a roadmap for implementation. Must work with current budget, & consider strategic opportunities for growth April 2010 SHPM Chair, UPD, SHPM faculty members, Dean, Assoc. Deans: Students, Professional and International, FEO 2. Partnership with the School of Administrative Studies (SAS) In partnership with SAS, develop a collaborative program. Work with the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario (CMA) to establish a certification program in health administration. Phase I: CMA Accelerated Program Phase II: employment placements 3. Contribute to a plan for a potential new degree in the Faculty of Health (e.g. BA in Health) A feasibility study of a new BA in Health degree focusing on public health, global health and social determinants. Committee will address: conceptual basis of the program, need and attractiveness to potential students, partnerships for faculty complement and collaboration, the competition, critical issues for making a decision.

4 A. Enhancing the Student Experience A.10 Manage ourselves effectively and continue to pursue innovation in program delivery A.10.2 Implement the MA and direct-entry PhD in Health Program 1. Health Policy and Equity field launched in fall with 16 grad students (6 MA, 10 PhD) 2. Submit field in Health system management and information for approval to OCGS Contingent on strategic faculty appointments recently frozen in: Health Informatics, Health Research Methods SHPM Chair, GPDs A.10.3 Develop a plan for a Professional Masters 1. Develop a proposal for a Professional Masters in Health Leadership, field in Health System Integration i. Determine format: Flex modular; blended online - in person ii. Seek funding from MOHLTC, speaker series and foundation support iii. Identify field experts iv. Working with Blackstone Partners to gather information on market demand and niche 2. Consult with relevant faculties at York U, and submit proposal to OCGS SHPM Chair, GPD, UPD, Dean
