La ingeniería industrial y de gerencia aplica conocimientos de matemáticas, ciencias, y computadoras para resolver problemas que involucran eficacia, eficiencia o productividad. En términos de gerencia, los egresados de este programa desarrollan una comprensión de las relaciones entre la ingeniería y las tareas gerenciales de planeación, organización, liderazgo y control, y el elemento humano en empresas de producción de bienes, de servicios, o de investigación.
