2 MÓNICA COHEN BIO In 1984 she qualified as an architect at the University of Belgrano. Since then, she has devoted her career to interior design for offices, shops, homes and organization of special events. In 1993 she conducted the course in Interior Design at Parson School, and again in 1997 organized by the Domus Academy in Italy. Since 1992 she participated in more than ten "Casa FOA". In 2001, is the organizer and curator of the First avant garde Argentine Design fair Design Connection by Cienporcientodiseño by carrying national design to international exhibitions such as the Milano Design Week and ICFF in New York from In 2008 she was part of the Norcenter team within the counseling field. Since 2006 she is the director, consultant and advisor of the "Remade in Argentina" leading the whole movement for South America. From 2009 to 2012, Monica Cohen and the Fair Puro Diseño merged, combining their outstanding careers and history to give great impulse to the Argentinean design environment. In 2013 she earned his title of "Certified Biomimicry Specialist ", awarded by the Biomimicry 3.8 Institute, USA. With this title she became founder of the "Biomimicry Argentina Network".

5 PROJECTS Architect Cohen s work is to create contemporary, warm, different spaces that combine the use of modern and lasting materials with an essence of personal identity. She searches to provide new unconventional solutions.

6 Projects Residential Bahia del Sol house Private neighborhood, Bahia del Sol Contemporary Italian pieces of furniture where combined with new technology material and original accessories. Each space within the house was inspired in the concepts of modernism, functionality and originality.

7 Projects Residential Mirabilia Familiar residence, Mirabilia tower This apartment generates a dialogue between the outside and the inside. With the aid of noble and modern materials, both the natural light of the apartment and its views of the city where perfectly united.

8 Projects Residential Children s room Children s room Amplitude and larger playing spaces are created in this room with the original L shaped drawers that permit the children to be both tidy and comfortable.

9 Projects Commercial Puerto Madero s Office Once Puntos Production Company The main concept for this office was the avant garde decoration style. Tables and sofas are curved and gain intensity with the use of a large palet of colors that really light up the place.

10 Projects Commercial Puerto Madero s Office Puerto Madero, Notary Office Many things determine a company s success. One of them is its office decoration and design. Curved organic lines and stable materials generate harmony and break with the classic architectural standards.

12 Projects Commercial Patios de San Telmo Patios de San Telmo, Hotel This building portrays a journey through Buenos Aires s history. Terraces, patios, sinuous architecture, hidden corners and rebuilt floors create an admirable combination of ecological design and sustainable architecture.

16 NATIONAL EXHIBITIONS After several presentations at Casa Foa, in 2001 was born DesignConnection by Cienporcientodiseño, which later held 10 exhibitions in Argentina, 4 in New York and 5 in Milan, presenting major design firms, contemporary furniture and decoration. Its mission is to promote and sell Argentine products in major markets of the world. Remade in Argentina s philosophy is based on spreading the culture of Eco-design and developing innovative products of excellence and low environmental impact (material recycling and environmental care in productive activities and design).

32 INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITIONS Ritually traveling to each of the exhibits, especially the Milano Design Week, I thought a must to replicate the local effervescence. Gradually we achieved it, coursing different situations in each fair. Different spaces, different proposals, but the goal was, is and will be always the same: to bring the Argentine design to the WORLD.
