5 The SmartMsg Suite of Applications CenterPoint is the operations dashboard that provides robust command and control for the entire SmartMsg suite of applications. Modules snap into the dashboard to create a single interface for managing the full spectrum of solutions for municipal, enterprise and industrial safety and security applications. Designed to enable communications with large numbers of users on a moment s notice, DispatchMgr gives operators and administrators the ability to facilitate and organize multiple communication groups simultaneously. It can also establish audio options and audio playback for these groups which can consist of any combination of radios, phones, PCs or other devices. ExpressMsg is a quick-launch toolbar that enables users to send template-generated, real-time SmartMsg alerts and notifications with as little as one click. When employed with SmartMsg, GeoSpear is an ESRI-based GIS application that initiates alerts to defined geographic areas. Users can send SmartMsg alerts to areas on a map by simply drawing circles, rectangles or free-form polygons, or by selecting zip codes, counties, power grids, water supply lines, etc., from pre-defined map layers. GeoSpear also allows specific addresses on a map to be pinpointed in order to issue alerts to all recipients within a defined radius of that point. MobileMsg extends the SmartMsg solution to smartphones with a mobile-optimized web interface, allowing users to initiate SmartMsg from any location. The RadioLink software application controls the Radio Interoperability Unit (RIU) by allowing users to setup and configure all cables and radios linked with the RIU.
