3 Document Code: 3 (6) 1 GENERAL Light fuel oil system supplies the light oil at proper pressure for start-up- and duct burners. Oil circulation is kept in operation also during normal operation, so that the burners are ready for operation when needed. Equipments, which are included in the system, are introduced in P&I -diagrams S1 HJ -MFB0001. Auxiliary boiler takes also oil from same storage tank. 2 DESIGN DATA The system consists of the following equipment: Light fuel oil tank, L1HJF01BB m 3 Oil pumping unit with two lines of pump, valves and filter Oil piping Ignition gas group Oil to LFO tank is delivered with truck. Truck unloading will be done with trucks own pump. Light fuel oil tank is equipped with level measurement to DCS and with level limit switch. LFO is pumped to burners with 2x 100 % light fuel oil pumps S1 HJF02/03 AP501. There is a suction filter in both lines before the oil pump. Pressure side of the pumps is protected by means of overflow valves and excess oil is led via common return pipe to tank. After the overflow valves both lines are equipped with non-return valve to prevent backflow through the stand-by pump. The control valve S1 HJF06 AA201 take care of the oil pressure by releasing excess oil to the common return pipe. The suction side pressure switches S1 HJF02/03 CP201 protect oil pump for dry run. Start-up- and duct burner valve group consists of quick shut-off valve, flow measurement with by-pass line, control valve and necessary measurements before the pipeline is distributed to the burners. Oil return line is equipped with DCS controlled shut off valve to close return when first burner is lit.

4 Document Code: 4 (6) 3 EQUIPMENT DATA As equipments basis for the oil system are the following data. 3.1 Light fuel oil tank S1 HJF01 BB601 Light fuel oil tank is used for storing light fuel oil for start-up of the plant. The light fuel oil tank located outdoors at the ground level. The light fuel oil pumps are at the same level. The pressure of the light fuel oil tank is normal air pressure in all operation conditions. 5 Document Code: 5 (6) 4 SYSTEM OPERATION 4.1 Start-up Light fuel oil tank is filled from trucks. Suction lines to LFO pumps will be filled with oil. One LFO pump is started and the pressure control valve S1 HJF05 CP201 is set to auto mode and thus the recirculation back to LFO tank is started. When the oil piping to burners is filled with oil, burner start-up sequence can be started. 4.2 Normal operation Light fuel oil is used only during boiler start-up or disturbance (e.g. disturbance in peat feeding). One pump is running all the time to be keeping pressure in oil system for burners quick start. Light fuel oil tank level is monitored in DCS.
