THIS MAY E ROUGHT FROM HOME OR PURCHASED AT FAIR. NO ULK SAWDUST, TAN ARK OR SHAVINGS PERMITTED. ONLY ALED OR AGGED EDDING ALLOWED. ENTRY DEADLINE: JULY All entries must be on livestock form furnished by the Kentucky State Fair and must be accompanied by entry fee of $8 per head and $5 for each tack pen required. Each exhibitor is required to purchase one tack pen. To enter online, go to Online entries require a credit card for payment of fees. For more information on online entries, see page 7. LATE ENTRIES: Double entry fees ($16 per head) will be charged for all entries postmarked after July 11. Late entries must arrive at the Fair office by July 25. Exhibitors now have the option of an extra late deadline. Entry Fees of $50 per head will be charged. Extra late entries must arrive at the Fair office by August Exhibitors bringing entries into Fairgrounds on or after Thursday, August 18 must present an exhibitors ticket or pay fair admission. 3. All livestock entries should be brought through Gate 4 off Crittenden Drive. 4. Only American Dairy Goat Association, American Goat Society and Canadian Goat Society registered, recorded, or applied-for animals that are recognized by A.D.G.A. as dairy animals, may be shown in official American Dairy Goat Association shows. A.D.G.A. rules shall govern. 5. Two rings of show will be held simultaneously for each division beginning with Ring 1. Showing will begin in Ring 2 in the same breed order following the conclusion of the first breed in Ring 1 and continuing through breed order in both rings concluding with the last breed finishing in Ring A registration or recordation certificate is required for all animals six months of age or older. 7. A registration or recordation certificate or a stamped duplicate application showing the date received by the ADGA office is required for all animals under six months of age. Show officials shall not accept copies of the 99

2 aforesaid, any other document in lieu of them, or information obtained from the ADGA office via telephone, etc. 8. The document for the animal to be shown must be handed to the show official who shall read it and compare its information to that on its entry form and verify the information on both. 9. All names included on one I.D. number constitute only one membership, therefore, only one exhibitor. Only the I.D. on the registration/ recordation certificate or on the stamped duplicate application is proof of ownership. 10. Persons showing animals whose registration/recordation certificates have signed transfers that have not been processed by the ADGA office must show those animals in the owner s name shown on ADGA records at that time. 11. Animals with natural horns shall not be shown. 12. Animals entered will be received beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, and must be in place not later than 10:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 17. will be released at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August The base date for computing the age of the animal is the day the animal is to be judged. All animals shown in group classes must have competed in individual classes. No animal shall knowingly for any reason be entered, exhibited, or judged in the wrong age class. 14. All exhibitors are limited to winning two premiums and two ribbons in each class. 15. Premiums will be paid based on results in Ring 1 ONLY. Premiums will not be paid in Ring No guarantee can be made as to the safety of the exhibits but every precaution will be taken to safeguard the animals. 17. Only goats exhibited in the show will be permitted on the grounds. 18. See General Rules for protest, health regulations, and other information. 19. Herd Signs shall not exceed 3 ft. by 4 ft. 20. In all classes, the exhibitor is the owner as evidenced by the name on the registration or recordation certificate. A breeder is defined as the entity listed as breeder on the registration or recordation certificate. 21. The Fair will provide large, portable containers for the disposal of manure and trash. These vehicles will be parked at various locations throughout livestock buildings at all times. No bedding or manure is to be heaped in the area at any time. It must be put into above container and will be removed when full and replaced by another receptacle. Milk will be disposed of in designated areas only. All sleeping materials will be out of sight from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and no clipping will be allowed from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Help us keep our buildings clean. 22. Tents or sleeping areas that are enclosed at the top are not permitted in the pen area. Please help us in complying with this fire code regulation. 100
