4 ATTENTION FOREIGN EXHIBITORS Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian funds. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. If you send a cheque in US funds, it must be made out for the full amount of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please do not mark cheques Payable in Canadian Funds or At Par. They will not be cleared through the banks. To simplify the process, we urge that you purchase bank drafts or money orders payable in Canadian funds. Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated. Thank You. ENTRY INFORMATION 1. No entry will be accepted unless all particulars called for on the entry form are completed in full. 2. Incomplete entries will be returned. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied by entry fees. 3. Telephone /fax entries are accepted by The Entry Line at , (fax) Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs regardless of how or by whom the entries were made. 5. Alterations, substitution, or cancellation of any entry after the closing date is prohibited. 6. Only dogs which are already registered in the Canadian Kennel Club Stud Book, or are eligible for registration can be entered. 7. The Show Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry subject to CKC Rules. 8. ENTRIES POSITIVELY CLOSE WEDNESDAY JUNE 22, 2016, AT 8:00 PM. 9. IDENTIFICATION CARDS AND JUDGING SCHEDULES WILL BE SENT BY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER THE ENTRIES CLOSE. Identification cards must be presented to the Show Secretary upon arrival at the show. 10.Tendering of an NSF cheque in payment of fees shall be considered non-payment of fees and is punishable by disciplinary action. Any NSF cheque will be subject to a $25.00 service charge. GENERAL INFORMATION 1. The Show Superintendent will be in full charge of the show, which will be governed by CKC rules. 2. The Ontario Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume liability, in the event of accident, or other misfortunes, to either dogs, exhibitors, or patrons. 3. If, because of riot, civil disturbance, or other acts beyond the control of management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of Entry Fees will be made. 4. The show precincts shall be the ring and 10 feet in all directions from the outer edge of the ring. It shall be the duty and obligation of the trial-giving club to see that a judge, club official, ring steward, volunteer, or competitor at a Show held under these regulations, is not subject to indignities of any kind. The Show Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred. STATEMENT OF PRIVACY Personal information which is provided to Danuta Booth, Show Secretary, will only be used for the purposes required by the Canadian Kennel Club and voluntarily submitted to us upon completion of an entry form. No personal information will be disclosed for purposes other than intended without consent or required by law.

5 TROPHY LIST Through the generosity of its members and friends, the Ontario Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club will offer a Trophy and Rosette for each of the following: Best of Breed Best of Opposite Sex Best of Winners Best Puppy in Breed Winners Dog Winners Bitch Best Veteran in Breed Best Altered in Breed One Award of Merit for every 10 dogs in Best of Breed judging 1 st in each Regular and Non-Regular Class. A Rosette will be offered for 2 nd to 4 th in each Regular and Non-Regular Class, and for Select Dog and Select Bitch. HANDY TOLLER AWARD The Ontario Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club will award the dog and handler earning the most points over the course of the Specialty The Handy Toller Award**. In order to qualify for this distinction, points can be earned by entering 3 or more of the events offered WC/WCI/WCX, dock diving, agility, rally, obedience, and conformation. The award will be presented upon completion of Sunday s program. Details can be found at SPECIALTY CLASSES Baby Puppy Class Dogs 3 months of age and under 6 months on the day of the show. Both male and female Baby Puppies will be judged prior to the judging of other official classes. Puppies in this category may not compete in any official, unofficial or non-regular classes. OFFICIAL CLASSES Junior Puppy Senior Puppy months Canadian Bred Bred-By-Exhibitor Open Veterans (split by age: 7-10 yrs & 10+ yrs) Field Class Specials Only Altered Exhibition Only NON-REGULAR CLASSES Brace Two dogs of the same breed (not necessarily of the same sex). Must be handled by one person on one lead. Dogs must be entered in an Official Class or Exhibition Only. If spayed or neutered, dog must be entered in an Altered Class or Exhibition Only. Stud Dog & Get Entry comprises the Stud Dog and two only of his Get. Stud Dog must be entered in a Regular Class or Exhibition Only. Get must be entered in a Regular Class. Stud Dog may be neutered. Ownership in this class need not be identical. Brood Bitch & Progeny Entry comprises the Brood Bitch and two only of her Progeny. Brood Bitch must be entered in a Regular Class or Exhibition Only. Progeny must be entered in a Regular Class. Brood Bitch may be neutered. Ownership in this class need not be identical.

6 SWEEPSTAKES JUDGE: LOLA NICHOL JUVENILE SWEEPSTAKES The following classes, divided by sex, will be offered at this sweepstakes: Junior Puppy 6 months & under 9 months Senior Puppy 9 months and under 12 months Month 12 months and under 15 months months 15 months and under 18 months First Place winners will compete for Best in Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes. A Rosette will be offered for 1 st to 4 th in each Sweepstakes Class and for Best in Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes. Money received in entry fees shall be divided as follows: First in Each Class 50% of entry money for that class Best in Sweepstakes 15% of total sweepstakes entry money Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes 10% of total sweepstakes entry money 25% will be held for administration costs. Dogs entered in Juvenile Sweepstakes must be entered in a Regular Class at this show. VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES The following classes, divided by sex, will be offered at this sweepstakes: 7-10 years 7 years and under 10 years 10+ years 10 years and over First Place Winners will compete for Best Veteran in Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex in Veteran Sweepstakes. A Rosette will be offered for 1 st to 4 th in each Veteran Sweepstakes Class and for Best Veteran in Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex Veteran in Sweepstakes Money received in entry fees shall be divided as follows: First in Each Class 50% of entry money for that class Best in Veteran Sweepstakes 15% of total sweepstakes entry money Best of Opposite Sex in Veteran Sweepstakes 10% of total sweepstakes entry money 25% will be held for administration costs. Dogs entered in Veteran Sweepstakes must be entered in a Regular Class or Exhibition Only at this show. Spayed and neutered dogs may compete in Veteran Sweepstakes.

7 JUNIOR HANDLING JUDGE: NORMA JEAN CAMPBELL Held under CKC Rules. Classes Offered: Pee Wee: 4-6 yrs (Non-Competitive) Junior: 7-10 yrs (Novice & Open) Intermediate: yrs (Novice & Open) Senior: 15-up to but not incl. 18 yrs (Novice & Open) Best Overall (Excluding Pee Wee) All Dogs must be entered in one of the Official Classes or Exhibition Only at this show. Entry to be made at the show, at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled judging time. Ages for all classes are as of December 31 st of the preceding year. A Rosette and prize will be offered for 1 st to 4 th in each class, and for Best Junior Handler. EVENT REGISTRATION NUMBER Effective Jan. 1/92, all dogs that are foreign born and foreign owned and enter Canada for the sole purpose of entering CKC events will no longer require a CKC registration number but will require an Event Registration Number (ERN). The ERN MUST be applied for within 30 days of the first day of entering a CKC event. Fee is $58.50 per dog after January 1, 2012, plus applicable taxes. CHAMPIONS AND CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS Chapter 15, Section A dog awarded Winners at a conformation show shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the number of points credited to a dog awarded Winners shall be as provided hereunder. Section The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be allocated a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as follows: Dogs competing * to 5 6 to 9 10 to or more Points Allocated * Includes the dog awarded Winners. In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused, or ordered from the ring by the judge SHALL NOT be included in the calculation for championship points. New CKC Non Member Participation Fee a) A non member participation fee for awards and titles will be charged to a Canadian non-member of CKC. The fee for 2012 is $58.50 plus applicable taxes. b) The non member participation fee is paid in any year a title is earned and covers all titles and dogs owned by that individual. c) In order for the title to be awarded, the non member will have a choice to either become a CKC member or pay the non member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will result in the title being withheld and the dog cannot be moved up to the next level. d) All Premium List will carry a note stating that these fees apply only to dogs wholly owned by non member residents of Canada and are not applicable to CKC members.

8 HOSPITALITY Parking and grounds are under the supervision of Kalmegess Kennels and Show Committee. Stoop & scoop. Dogs must be on leash. Snack Bar will be open for Lunch during the show. RAFFLES There will be raffles each day throughout the weekend. Raffle donations always welcome to one of the Committee or at the Raffle table. 50/50 Draw for the weekend ACCOMMODATIONS Host Hotel is the Residence Inn and Conference Centre 32 Commencement Drive (Off Simcoe St. North) Oshawa, ON L1G 8G3 Phone: (905) (7 minutes to show site) The club has a block of rooms held at the show hotel. They are two-bedroom suites. The rate is $74.95 per night plus HST. The Group name is 2016 Toller Specialty and the group ID number is The block is held until Friday June and is available from Thursday July 07 until Sunday July 10. If you plan to come earlier or stay later that should not be a problem and they should honour the rate. Please note that there is a car race on that weekend in nearby Mosport so a lot of the local hotels such as the Quality Inn, Comfort Inn, and Travelodge are already booked up, so you should book early! Camping available at Darlington Provincial Park, Clarington, Ontario (10 minutes to show site) Self- Contained Camping on site at Kalmegess Kennels is limited.
