1 Seed Catalogue 2017 Canada Updated February Extremely important: Last minute orders are difficult to fulfil; early orders are highly recommended. Prices, selection and availability can change at any time without prior notice. Consult our website or call the office 1 Union street for up-to-date details. Berwick, On, K0C 1G0 Canada Sales Policies and Procedures: ph.: Terms: All sales must be paid COD, cash, check, debit card. fax.: All seed reservations are final. Homestead Organics will make a valerie@homesteadorganics.ca best effort to accept returns and exchanges early in the season, but only if we can find another customer for your cancelled order. Confirmed orders are fairly reliable, but due to exceptional circumstances beyond our control, even confirmed orders are subject to problems. Homestead Organics will try its utmost to find a suitable replacement, but the customer is under no obligation to purchase a replacement from us. Prices are FOB a Homestead Organics mill. Delivery can be organized and the full cost will be charged to the customer. For budgeting sake, $2-$5 per bag is a reasonable average in Eastern Ontario and Western Québec if we are able to coordinate the delivery with large volumes in your region. To minimize shipping costs, small seed orders can also be delivered to our feed dealer in your region along with the dealer s monthly feed order. You would pay the dealer. The dealer adds transportation and a small handling fee to our seed price. Buyer beware; each farm has its own soil, weather and market conditions. Seed needs are individual and each farmer needs to understand his/her own needs. This catalogue is a list of what we have and think could work well in average conditions in Eastern Ontario. It should not be construed in any way as suggesting what each farmer should have on his/her farm. Please inquire about your particular needs; we can surely help you. Our seed catalogue is not complete. We are dealers of and have access to the full seed catalogues of various suppliers. Organically produced seed is required by the certifiers. We are trying hard to source appropriate organic seed for our region s conditions and we count on your support in buying organic seed. However, the priority is still placed on the agronomic and market qualities of each variety. Certain conventional untreated varieties are offered in addition to organic seed. Consult your certifier to understand the conditions to meet before you choose conventional seed. There are some useful websites to obtain information on crop management and performance: o for the detailed guide of our seed catalogue o from C&M Seeds o for cereal management and performance reports in Ontario. o for soybean management and performance reports in Ontario.
