Shipment Volume Forecast for Autostereoscopic 3D Game Devices Fueled by Hollywood 3D movies, demand for glasses-type 3D TVs has been unleashed. Moreover, driven by mobile device applications, glasses-free 3D display devices, a.k.a. autostereoscopic 3D products, have been under intensive development. Vendors in the field have given top priority to related projects, aiming to develop autostereoscopic 3D devices with better 3D effect. As consumers have had the experience of watching 3D movies with glasses in the cinema, they might be willing to wear special glasses to watch 3D TV in their living rooms. However, when it comes to smart handheld devices, such as smartphone, handheld game console, or tablet, the clumsy viewing gear is simply too inconvenient, especially for people who wear glasses. This is the main reason why vendors are keen to develop autostereoscopic 3D display devices. At major international exhibitions and market channels, it is observed that various autostereoscopic 3D display devices have been available for smartphones, game consoles, tablets, notebook PCs, monitors, and TVs.
