3 Certificate in Creative Writing This course is recommended as an introduction to the craft of creative writing, and will suit students who require an overview of the skills required in various writing disciplines. Students will receive insights into the Australian publishing scene as a prelude to instruction in writing poetry, scripts and speeches, biographies, children s stories, adult fiction, short stories and non-fiction. Students will also learn how to generate story ideas and edit and market their work. While the course has been designed primarily for students wishing to write as a hobby, it also provides a useful starting point for individuals interested in pursuing writing as a career.
