2 What is ASID? ASID is the oldest and largest professional association of interior designers in the world Founded in 1975 following the merger of two design organizations ASID has the largest commercial and residential designer membership of any organization

3 History of ASID As a professional interior design association, the roots of ASID go back all the way to 1931! student membership was introduced ASID created the organization now known as the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) ASID created NCIDQ ASID became a founding member of USGBC
