1 Greetings: The Atlanta Sports Academy, Inc. is a non-profit organization with the sole purpose of helping young men and women obtain the requirements for transitioning to 4-year colleges and universities. The Atlanta Sports Academy also provides programming geared towards character development for improved life skills and leadership qualities essential for success at the next level of academics and athletics. Our program has a proven track record of cultivating program participants who have achieved higher ACT/SAT test scores, improved GPA, completed requirements to obtain GED s, and received athletic scholarships to four year institutions. The Atlanta Sports Academy is located on a fully selfcontained campus providing student athletes structured traditional dorm-style living quarters, onsite food services, onsite weight and training facilities, as well as onsite academic facilities and resources. Thank you, Damon A. Dawson Co-Founder The Atlanta Sports Academy, LLC 330 Village Drive, Dawsonville, Georgia
2 History of ASA Founded in 2009, by former University of North Carolina football player, Damon Dawson and former Auburn University football player, Viondi Pate, Atlanta Sports Academy is the only sports academy in the state of Georgia. With little funding, Dawson and Pate, initially worked from their virtual office in downtown Atlanta, GA. Additionally, the primary focus of the program was to assist high school students with obtaining and maintaining their athletic development, while supporting students in the transition from high school to collegiate athletics. In April, 2010, with the aid of Ira Dawson, The Atlanta Sports Academy began the academic portion of the institution. This addition included study hall, ACT/SAT preparation through Kaplan, and GED completion assistance. With these changes came a location move as well, as the academy moved into a townhouse in Hampton, GA. Subsequently, all the hard work and dedication of the founders led to a full campus in 2011, which houses over 200 student athletes. The Atlanta Sports Academy now has over 25 coaching and staff members, including its own academic department with accreditation partnerships with National High School and Word of Life Christian Academy.

8 WHAT WE DO The mission of The Atlanta Sports Academy's Post-Graduate sports program is to place our student-athletes in an NCAA or NAIA college or university. The program pushes students in practice, tests their character and leadership, and gets them committed to their education. The Atlanta Sports Academy s dedicated staff helps its athletes realize their dreams by teaching them self-discipline, hard work, and dedication to their goals. The Atlanta Sports Academy s Post- Graduate Sports programs are not the simple route, but many athletes choose this path to success in order to get stronger college qualifications for college admission and the opportunity to push their athletic skills to the limit. The Atlanta Sports Academy s PG Sports program will set the standard year after year for academic and athletic success with aspiring athletes. PG athletes who enroll in The Atlanta Sports Academy s program benefit by: earning higher scores and grades for college acceptance; building a vastly stronger knowledge base and better selfdiscipline for further success at college; and providing more time for their bodies to mature prior to playing college sports. 10 Testimonials The student athletes and parents we have referred to Atlanta Sports Academy have been very pleased. Although the families are from different backgrounds, all have made similar comments, such as We felt comfortable and We were treated in a professional manner. All were impressed with the academy s clean and modern facilities and say they believe their sons are more than prepared for high-level colleges and universities after completion of the program. The professional and highly educated staff at Atlanta Sports Academy has made this a reality for many and will continue to do so for prospective students. - Tim Dickens Senior Scout Big 3 Scouting Coach Dawson and his staff are doing a tremendous job of building a first class program that is giving our student/athletes at Dougherty High an opportunity to progress in academics and athletics. I strongly recommend the Atlanta Sports Academy to any student/athlete who is looking to grow in all areas of his academic and athletic life! Coach Jesse C.Hicks Head football coach Dougherty High School For me, the sports academy gave me a second chance at life. It taught me to be a better man off and on the field. I appreciated the support the coaches have given me. I knew I had to step up and be a role model and good father to my son, like some of the coaches were to me. -Patrick Thomas, current Atlanta Sports Academy student
