1 Emerging 100 of Atlanta - Mission: The Emerging 100 of Atlanta (the Emerging 100 ), a young professional auxiliary of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc., is focused on empowering the lives of high school and college students throughout the City of Atlanta. Our members represent an array of professions and are leaders in their respective fields. Emerging 100 members include, among others, attorneys, educators, technology experts, entrepreneurs, business consultants and public relations professionals, clergymen, entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, and financial leaders. Recognizing that far too often our youth s accomplishments are not properly acknowledged, the Emerging 100 will extend one scholarship of at least $2,500 to an enrolled Atlanta college or university student who has overcome adversity to achieve academically and lead their community. Emerging Leaders Scholarship - Criteria for Selection: Attend a college or university in the Metropolitan Atlanta area Minimum 2.5 GPA Show proof of enrollment for either summer or fall semester of 2014 Student must exhibit exceptional leadership both in and outside the classroom Student has overcome tremendous odds in pursuit of higher education Completed Application Includes: Complete Biographical and General Information Professor Recommendation General Recommendation Two Essay Responses Resume All documents must be submitted no later than, March 1 st 2014 via to: [email protected]
