7 The Specific Programme Four lines of activities: 1. Resource efficient transport that respects the environment 2. Better mobility, less congestion, more safety and security 3. Global leadership for the European transport industry 4. Socio-economic and behavioural research and forward looking activities for policy making

9 TEN-T / CEF Complementarity and synergies TEN-T "Guidelines" as policy basis, focussing action on multimodal core network (completion target 2030) and on far-reaching standards to enable a smart, green and integrated transport system CEF as main TEN-T funding instrument , including a broad range of priorities to stimulate smart, green and integrated solutions Around Euro 260 million, for example, already allocated under the priority "Innovation" in two CEF calls; thereby mobilising a total investment of Euro 485 million Coordination of funding action under both CEF and Horizon 2020 is provided for in legislation and in implementation process European Co-ordinators' "Issues Papers" stimulating the generation of synergies along core network corridors

11 CEF Multi-Annual Work Programme The Work Programme General envelope (Euro 650 million) concerns the following horizontal priorities: SESAR (EUR 300 million) ITS (EUR 120 million) Innovation (EUR 80 million) ERTMS (EUR 70 million), Core Network nodes (EUR 40 million) Motorways of the Sea (EUR 40 million) For the Cohesion envelope (Euro 849,5 million), the Work Programme concerns infrastructure projects on the TEN-T Core Network in sustainable modes of transport as well as horizontal priorities
