7 Our panelists Ms. Kristina Schneider is an aviation professional development, organizational learning and performance technology specialist, merging instructional and systems technology with knowledge, project and operations management. She is part of the senior management team at Aviation Strategies International and acts as the Director, Learning Strategies and Educational Technology Services for its professional development division: the ASI Institute. In addition, she manages the operations and educational technology for the Global ACI-ICAO Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme (AMPAP) as well as the International Airport Professional Community of Practice (IAP), both for which ASI is the designated administrator. Ms. Schneider holds an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies as well as a Master's degree in Educational Technology from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Her thesis focused on the authority and credibility of bloggers in the field of training and development, investigating the value of edublogging as a form of self-directed learning as well as its potential contribution to communities of practice. The study was reformatted and published in 2009 under the title "Edublogging: A Qualitative Study of Training and Development Bloggers" and has been well received and recommended by the educational technology community. Ms Kristina Schneider Director, Learning Strategies and Educational Technology Services The ASI Institute A Division of Aviation Strategies International In 2012, Kristina joined ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS s Instructor team, as a Training Developer Course Instructor. She also led the ASI Institute through an ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS audit as well as through the development of an ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS estp, achieving Full Member status in June 2013.

8 Our panelists Ms Ashley Lauryssen Senior Training Expert EUROCONTROL, Institute of Air Navigation Services, Luxembourg Ashley has worked in the field of ATM training for the last 16 years. She was a Tower and Area Radar Controller until 1996.Before joining EUROCONTROL she worked as an ATC instructor at various training colleges in the UK. Since joining EUROCONTROL she has been the training project manager for various regional and European activities in both the ATC and technical domains. She currently works at the Institute of Air Navigation Services in Luxembourg as a training expert specializing in harmonisation. Her current activities also include support for EASA rule making for ATC and ATSEP training and competence, SESAR activities in the areas of training, competence and regulatory impacts of the new developments. Presentation: Ashley will be talking about the more stable training innovations that EUROCONTROL has implemented to bring them into the modern age of technology. She will look at the practical issues and advantages of these innovations and share some of the lessons that have been learnt along the way.
