2 FCAT 2.0 Reading The FCAT 2.0 Reading assessment in grades - include reading passages from the public domain, such as historical documents and works by classical authors (e.g., Bill of Rights, Twain). There are only multiple choice options. Includes a greater number of test items that require reasonable inferences and reasonable prior knowledge. Types of Reading Texts Grade Literary Text Informational Text 60% 0% 0% 0% 0% 0% 7 8 Webb s Depth of Knowledge Complexity Levels Low Complexity requires only basic understanding of the concept (e.g., recalling facts) Moderate Complexity involves two steps: comprehension and processing of text (e.g., explanations, interpretations) High Complexity requires more abstract reasoning, planning, judgments, and connections. If they arrive before the end of school, they will be sent home with students.
