1 Zscaler New User Interface FAQ Q: Will all my organization s custom settings be preserved? A: Yes. All your customized policies and settings are automatically migrated to the new environment. Q: Which devices are supported? A: The new user interface is fully supported on all devices, including tablets. Q: Which browsers are officially supported? A: Use the following system settings to take full advantage of the interface. A: The Zscaler administrative interface supports a minimum resolution of 1024x768. Q: Which languages are supported? A: Currently, English is supported. 2 Q: Where can I find more information about the new interface? A: The Videos section of the Help center provides a few videos that describe how to do some basic tasks. Q: What are the major changes? A: The Dashboard and Analytics are basically the same, except that you can quickly access their menus directly from each tab. The Policy and Administration tabs were redesigned to improve the workflow. They are also more intuitive and easier to learn and use. Q: Where can administrators configure policies and administrative settings? A: You can go to the Policy tab to configure web and mobile policies, and to the Administration tab to manage your location and other resources. 3 Q: Do I need to click Edit before I add, change or delete objects? A: The workflow is much simpler. Setting the interface to Edit mode is no longer required. You can immediately add, edit or delete objects. Q: Can multiple administrators edit at the same time? A: Yes. The service queues all the saved changes and activates them at the same time. 4 Q: The Threat Library used to be in the Security tab. Where is it located now? A: Click Help at the top of any window. The Help menu has links to useful sites, such as the Threat Library, Cloud Configuration Requirements and Zulu. New User Interface FAQ Copyright 2014 Zscaler 4

5 Q: In the old interface, all menu items were on the left panel. Where are they now? A: The new interface provides two types of menus: You can click a tab to view its menu, as shown below. 6 Q: In the old user interface, policies were organized into four tabs: Secure, Manage, Comply and Mobile. How are the policies organized in the new interface? A: Policy management is much simpler. Policies are now in one tab, for easy access. You can go to the Policy tab to quickly access the Web and Mobile policies, which are organized by function, similar to the old user interface. 7 Q: In the old user interface, I could configure SSL and FTP settings in the Internet Gateways & SSL page. Where can I configure these features in the new interface? A: The new user interface is logically organized by function. You go to the Locations page (Administration > Resources > Locations) to set parameters, such as the location s IP addresses, and to enable features for the location, such as authentication and SSL inspection.
