2 2 Tomori Pal College has been operating since Education of talented young people with more difficult living circumstances and their constant support were declared as its essential intentions. According to these targets, the centre of college is located in Kalocsa, a lovely little town in the south region however it has more educational venues in Budapest and Kecskemet. It is due to this that high level of education and quality standards of students life were the advantaged points of view in the course of institutional development. That is the reason for more instant relationship between professors and students. Introduction The college is ranked among the best in Hungary concerning its academic staff. Especially the indexes of professors with academic degree, it takes a distinguished place in the national ranks. There is a wide range of training programs from special courses of 4 semesters to Bachelor Degree at the College, not to mention the several options of accomplishing a second BA Degree. Most fields of study are economics-related however human arts and social sciences are also available. Students can be taught in both languages Hungarian and English. To increase the educational standards and hit the main targets of the college Tomori Pál Hungarian-English Bilingual Economics Vocational Secondary School has been established where the principles and teaching level of higher education can be adapted and highly appreciated.

4 4 Kalocsa Everybody who enters this building feels its spirituality. Defaults to have been declared by the constructors are also standards presented on the college s banner: honesty, integrity and vocation. The building was built in Baroque style serving as educational purposes for priests, later as a Pairists grammar school and finally as other cultural purposes. Tomori Pal College started its operation in this building with some municipal cultural institutions together. Location: The building is situated in the heart of Kalocsa city next to the Archiepiscopal Palace and the Cathedral. There is a bus stop nearby and the student dormitory is also in three-minute walking distance. In the direct vicinity of the college is the Archiepiscopal Library of Kalocsa located. Selection of 250 volumes are available, ancient volumes, more precious codex and manuscripts among them. Alongside the student dormitory is the Tomori Pal Municipal and College Library situated providing a wide range of specialized textbooks and journals for students. Use of both libraries is free of charge for college students. Dormitory: Rooms for three or four students are available at the dormitory. Internetaccess is provided in each room.

5 New age starts: Budapest My dear Count and Countess, welcome to Tomori Pal College has been receiving its students in a new location in Budapest from September The most part of the residence was built before 1945 as the property of family Zsindely. The exclusive form of the building reflects the age of providing both educational and hotel services there for many years. The useful surface of building is approximately 5500 m2, surrounded by roads, a 1500 m2 car park, a tennis court and a beautiful m2 gardened estate. On the ground floor of the building there is a lobby established with direct connections to a restaurant and a bar, also the Registration s office and a store for textbooks are in this area available. How to access? The building is situated in the 22nd district of Budapest, near the CAMPONA Business and Shopping Centre. A good location of Motorways 6 and 7 your residence! and Highway MO, all mean outstanding accessibility to the College. There is also good connection between the city centre and the college concerning public transport. Buses No 33, No 33E, No 114, No 150, No 213, No 214 and No 233 stop there, or trains can be taken to the station Budatétény. Accommodation: Students applying for dormitory housing receive accommodation. The recent capacity of student hotel covers 64 twin-bedded rooms with bathrooms and lavatory connection on the ground and the first floor. 24-hour reception service, WIFI Internet access and some other services are available at Hotel Tomori. 5

The educational site of Tomori Pal College operates in the Regional Centre of Chamber of Trade and Industry of Bacs- Kiskun County in Kecskemet. The College will become one with the message of the institutional motto: Most of the people do not recognize that success needs collaboration, common knowledge and cooperation long-term better than single fighting windmills. 9 BA Courses Business and Management How to manage a company You will learn how to manage a company successfully and look over all important areas within a company in this course of 6+1 semesters. You can specialize for Management of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises or Regional Development. International Business Go for the European Union After you have attended this course of 6+1 semesters, you will be able to represent the business interests of your company in the European and even world markets. Course includes teaching of management skills and negotiation techniques. Next to classical economy studies you will learn about abilities to enforce interests in the EU, competition and application system and forms and some international marketing strategies will be also introduced. You can specialize for International Logistics or Defense of Economy. Finance and Accountancy How figures represent success By attending this course of 6+1 semesters, you will be able to look over and properly manage the accounts and finances of a company. If you specialize in Finance, you will be able to work for banks or broker companies. If you specialize in Accountancy, you could even start a business in Bookkeeping. Human arts Civilization as the base of human living Culture plays a key role in civilized societies. More and more companies realize this when they make decisions. Students will learn about the processes of civilization and they will interpret and manage these processes. The course is of 6 semesters. You can specialize for History of Art or History of Religion. International Studies Through the way of success diplomatically To improve the ability of enforcing precious social values while they are being hurt or damaged by economic interests, this is the aim of the course. You will learn about competition rules and policies of the European Union in the course of 6 semesters. You will be able to make good use of it for civil and public institutions or companies. 9

10 Special courses in higher education Attending these courses of 4 semesters you will learn how to establish and manage a business of your own and perform the most important practical tasks of managing your company. After finishing, extra credits are added and some subjects will be accepted for first two semesters in case of application for next educational level (BA) at Tomori Pal College. Bank Management Conserning the daily routines of banking operation and administration, some important practical skills and knowledge will be represented in fields of Finance and Business Bases, Banking Operation, Credit Assessment and Subsidizing. These skills and their practice will be highly appreciated by banks and brokerage firms as well as by companies with other business activities. Assistant Management of Business The most important questions of the field of company management will be analyzed and discussed. Finance and Business Bases, Marketing in Practice, Corporate Leadership, Organizing and Controlling Skills, are represented in the course. Business Management in the European Union After a preparation period in fields of trade and business management, students receive information about advantages of Hungarian membership within the EU and its profitable sides for company-related businesses including compation and subsidizing possibilties. Management in Commerce After a preparation period in fields of trade and business management, students receive detailed information about daily routines at wholesale and retail trade companies. Management of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises In the course all simple and more complex tasks from finance to sales will be learnt which are to be performed at small and middle-sized companies. International Logistics and Transport Management Special performance at companies with logistics business activities will be presented in the course. Trade and business basic skills are also very useful when establishing of own company is intended. Management of Business Advertisements After learning some trade and business basic skills, features of advertising, marketing actions and their planning and arrangements form parts of the course structures. Business Management Students will learn the essential knowledge of trade and business activities, management and information technologies, their potentials and main utilizations.
