2 About ICICIdirect Centre for Financial Learning (ICFL) ICICIdirect Centre for Financial Learning (ICFL) is an initiative of ICICI Securities Ltd. set up with an objective of simplifying financial knowledge and increasing financial literacy amongst prospective or experienced investors and knowledge seekers. ICFL training programmes are categorised under Investment Education Programmes and Professional Certification & Development Programmes. The repository of domain knowledge includes host of in-house developed seminars, workshops, certifications and training programmes leading to reputed certifications. These programmes are in the area of Stock Investing, Derivatives, Mutual Funds, Financial Planning, Wealth Management, Corporate Finance, etc. ICICIdirect Centre for Financial Learning has been conferred with the Award for Innovation in Learning and Best Online Learning Solution at the World Education Congress. It also won the Emerging Brand Award at CMO Asia in Singapore. 3 About the Faculty Prof. Pitabas Mohanty was a Senior Visiting Scholar at Stern School of Business, New York University in He is a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. A Gold Medalist in MA (Applied Economics), he is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Cost Accountant. He has got more than fifteen years of teaching experience in Investments and Corporate Finance. He has conducted numerous training programmes for companies in India and abroad including companies from Dubai, Quatar, and Kuwait in Company Valuation and Financial Modeling. He is the co-author of books on Investments and Principles of Corporate Finance published by the McGraw Hill Education. He is actively into research in corporate finance and investments with many publications in books and refereed journals. He has consulted a few companies in valuation of companies. He has won numerous research awards at various research conferences.

4 Programme Overview This programme aims to impart spreadsheet and financial modeling skills among the participants. The programme will particularly look at spreadsheet skills for corporate finance professionals. Then the programme will help the participants understand how corporate finance models are built. Programme Objective In the present day situation, availability of data is not a constraint. However, analysing data and using it for decision making is becoming a challenge. While there are several software packages available for analysing the data, Excel is the most popular software used by the analysts to use business data in real life. The objective of this programme is to expose the managers to the different built-in data analysis features in Excel. The participants will get exposure to the different basic and advanced features in Excel that can help them make efficient analysis of the data in Excel. Pedagogy The programme will be conducted as a workshop, where the participants will get hands-on experience in analysing data using Excel. Topics to be Covered Data Analysis using Excel Mastering formulas and functions in Excel Formatting, Conditional and Advanced Formatting of Data Data Analysis using Excel Preparing Charts in Excel Preparing Dynamic Charts in Excel Understanding Basic Macros Financial Modeling using Excel Building Integrated Financial Statements Model Building Corporate Valuation Model (for a Manufacturing Company) Building Project Finance Models Using Macros to make the Models Dynamic and Professional Programme Differentiators Participants get hands-on experience in analysing data using Excel. Who Should Attend? This programme is primarily intended for people whose job involves analysis of data using spreadsheet packages like Excel. The programme does not presume any prior knowledge about Excel by the participants. However, participants who have exposure to the basic functions of Excel will get the maximum benefits out of this programme. Eligibility Criteria For Indian Participants - Graduates (10+2+3) or Diploma Holders (only ) from a recognised university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government) in any discipline. For International Participants - Graduation or equivalent degree from any recognised University or Institution in their respective country.

5 Programme Delivery The entire programme would be delivered through the virtual classrooms. ICFL virtual classrooms would be enabled with the technology whereby the programme faculty will deliver the lectures from one or more studios and the students enrolled in the programme could attend it from different points. For eg: ICFL classrooms (owned and franchisees) and even from their locations through any device like desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile. However for better learning experience a student would be advised to attend the programme from the ICFL classrooms. Award of Certificate Certificate of programme completion from XLRI will be awarded to all the participants.
