3 VERTICAL TYPE AIR HANDLING UNIT VERTICAL TYPE AIR HANDLING UNIT KFC units are used for heating and cooling individual locations. In winter season, boiler provides a supply of hot water for the KFC unit and in suer season, chiller group provides a supply of cold water for the KFC unit. KFC can be connected to a separate ductwork or plenum cell system. They can be installed separately on each floor in multi-storey buildings and can be operated individually. The operating period of KFC fully depends on flat owner's demand which provides considerable savings in energy consumption. KFC is an optimum air-conditioning unit for individual locations thanks to its ease of maintenance and small size which make it well suited for confined spaces. VERTICAL TYPE AIR HANDLING UNIT TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 1 - CASING The casing is made of steel or aluminium profiles. The double-layered insulated panels provide a decorative appearance on the casing. The galvanized sheet panels are electrostatic powder coated. The models from KFC - 3 to KFC - 15 are made of one single unit, while the models from KFC 20 to KFC - 30 are made of two units. The thickness of the panels is 50 and the panels are insulated with rock wool. 01

4 2 - FAN and MOTOR GROUP KFC units are equipped with double inlet forward curved centrifugal fans as a standard feature. These fans are belt - pulley driven. Optionally, double inlet backward curved centrifugal fans and EC plug fans can be used on request. EC plug fans provide significant savings in energy consumption and the fan speed can be arranged automatically according to the pressure COOLING & HEATING COIL The desired room temperature can be obtained by thermally efficient copper tube aluminium finned coils. The coils are designed to be compatible with 2 piped systems or 4 - piped systems FILTERS The filter is from G2-G4 filtration class which is easy to remove and clean. 5 - DRAIN PAN The KFC units which are used for cooling purpose are equipped with drain pan. It is made of insulated 304 quality stainless sheet.
