6 SOUND REINFORCEMENT FOH SOUND REINFORCEMENT : Professional quality system E.g : L. Acoustics / Meyer / D and B / JBL etc Please no home made system. The size of the PA system should be adequate to deliver loud, high quality sound to a capacity audience with definition and uniformity across the whole venue. House system must be able to cover the audience evenly with a SPL of 110 db at the mix position. Artist s FOH engineer must have access to the drive rack to correct any unlinearity. We need 10 watts by person. Ex: 400 persons > watts persons > watts. Do not set the system to the floor min height : 2 meters from ground FOH One (1) mixing desk console : 40 CHANNELS. Please have a 2 channel output with independant attenuation for a 2 track recording device brought by the engineer and please supply 1 microphone stand and 2 XLRs for connectitvity. Page 6 of 10

7 STAGE MONITORS SYSTEM : One (1) mixing desk console 24/8 minimum, E.g.: MIDAS / CREST / SOUNDCRAFT 8 Identical WEDGES 2 each for Lead Vocal,Keyboardist and Guitarist - One (1) DRUM FILL for the Drums + One (1) for the monitor engineer - Minimum Power Amplification 600 W per Wedge E.g.: L.Acoustic 115 FM / MTD 112 / Clair 12 AM / NexoPS 15 / Meyer USM / UM / EAW Microwedge - Outboard gear: Minimum of Two (2) stereo 31 band 1/3 octave graphic equalizers 2 or more Compressors MIXES SENDS: 1- Lead Vox 2-Guitar 3-Keyboards 4-Percussion 5- Drums 6- Bass STAGE AND RISERS The management should provide a rigid, safe and secure permanent stage. The area shall be for the Artist and their support acts sole use and any obstacles limiting the use or view of the stage area must be removed before the arrival of the Artist. Please supply 2 drum risers for the drummer and percussionist Minimum size 2.5 metres x 2.5 metres x 30cm STAGE CREW The management should provide at least 2 able bodied persons to be available for the load-in and the reloading of the Artists equipment aswell as to be available near the stage during the performance to assist with any technical difficulties. It is imperative that the stage crew shall not be under the influence of alcohol or any drugs at anytime. Page 7 of 10

9 HOSPITALITY This rider regarding Hugh Masekela (hereinafter referred to as Artist) engagement is herein made a part of the attached contract. If you, the Purchaser, deem it necessary to make any changes to this rider please contact Semopa Music prior to making the changes. Purchaser agrees to meet the following requirements at his/her expense: 1. DRESSING ROOM PROVISIONS: Purchaser agrees to provide comfortable and private dressing rooms to accommodate 09 people. Separate dressing rooms are requested for Hugh Masekela and The band members. Rooms shall include comfortable couches, chairs, irons, ironing boards, full-length mirrors. Rooms shall be clean, dry, well lit, and heated or air-conditioned, and shall include 15 clean towels. Dressing rooms shall be within easy access to clean, private lavatories which shall be closed to the general public. Purchaser shall be responsible for the security of items in the dressing room area and shall keep all unauthorized persons from entering the area. Both rooms must have keys and all the keys must be given to the road manager of the band on arrival. All rooms must be ready one hour before the group arrives. 2. TRANSPORTATION PROVISIONS: Purchaser agrees to provide, at no cost to Artist, all local ground transportation to and from arrival and departure points, hotel, sound check and engagement(s). Artist requires one 15-passenger van for personnel and one luxury sedan for Hugh Masekela. 3. HOTEL ACCOMODATION PROVISIONS: Purchaser agrees to provide, at no cost to Artist, first-class hotel accommodations with breakfast for 09 persons. Rooms to be booked as follows: One (1) x Deluxe Suite for Mr. Masekela/Mrs Masekela and up to eight (08) rooms with King or Queen-sized beds for band members(no rooms with two single beds ). 09 copies of room lists must be available on the arrival of the artists at the hotel and rooms must be allocated as per room list attachment. Artist prefers hotels with restaurants, bar, health spa and pool. All rooms are to be reserved under the name of Rapelang Leeuw and guaranteed for early check-in and late checkout when necessary. 4.HOSPITALITY PROVISIONS: Purchaser agrees to provide at no expense to Artist on the day of each performance of the engagement scheduled and for the exclusive use of Artist and/or Artist s representative: Page 9 of 10

10 Hot buffet meal for 09 persons to include chicken/lamp ribs/beef stew/ Well done beef steak/ Grilled fish, Portuguese salads with any salads dressing, rice/pasta, potatoes, tomatoes, green beans and dessert or fruit. Hot meal to be cooked using some spice/salt/chilli to have good taste (not sugar). Hot buffet has to be ready two hours before performance until the end of performance. Dressing room setup to include: Deli-tray for 09 persons with cold cuts, cheeses, and bread, or sandwiches, as well as a selection of fruit. Assorted fruit juices (apple, orange, cranberry), 24x bottled still water, variety of sodas (regular and diet) Good quality, strong coffee (preferably espresso) with sugar, cream, and whole milk (no artificial creamers) Hot Tea (green tea) and Honey. 2 x bottles of good red wine.
