2 Mini-Group Intensive Course The inlingua teaching method is expressed in our motto: Facilitas loquendi in lingua est, in other words, languages are best learned when talking! Learners get to experience a new linguistic environment. No prerequisites Course duration: 2 weeks, Monday to Friday Class times from or alternatively from (20 lessons of 45, coffee break included) The training team consists of 3 teachers Level placement: online written test prior to arrival and oral evaluation on the first day The course can be taken at different levels of expertise A mini-group course has many advantages. First of all, the number of learners is kept to a minimum, meaning that you benefit from a greater degree of attention from your trainers (it s not like being at school again!). What s more, you even benefit from the input of your companions, helping them with their doubts and inaccuracies while they help you! The programme is designed to be fun too: of course you will learn new vocabulary, focus on grammar and do the test, but the weekly schedule is packed full of language games, interactive exercises and all kinds of media to help make your Italian experience a truly enjoyable and affordable one! Prices The cost of a 2 week course is 550 per person, whilst each additional week costs 250. Registration is 100 and includes student book, audio cd, progress/final tests and the course certificate, use of our library/resource room.

3 Crash Intensity Programme One to One No prerequisites Course duration: one week, Monday to Friday The training team consists of 3 teachers. The introduction of new grammatical structures should not take up more than a third of the time available. The main focus of this course is to make learners feel confident and able to express themselves in a variety of ways. Therefore it is essential that each day contains a variety of different activities that help to keep students interested and that help them absorb the taught content. A typical day in a full time course, disregarding the specific program chosen and the language level of tuition, is usually organised as follows: Morning: icebreakers - warm up exercises that give learners the opportunity to practice expressions right from the very start. Reading and listening comprehension exercises. Grammar and vocabulary focus related to the course programme. The afternoon: stress, intonation, pronunciation focus, recognition and production. Internet-based work and related fluency practice, with the aim of stimulating grammar discussion and correction. Role-plays and language games. 4 Accommodation Host Family Staying with a host family is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in the language and culture of a country. It's all part of the learning experience! We can reserve rooms in private houses with a bathroom shared with the owners of the house and/or other guests, or with a private bathroom in some cases in the Deluxe category. 5 Self-catering apartments One room, two room or larger apartments, completely furnished and located in different areas of the city, with 2 or more beds. One room apartments 1 week from 350 Other types of apartments (two, three room apartments etc.) 1 week from 450 The price includes: - Bed/bath linen and one change (not applicable to shared apartments) - Water, gas and electricity consumption and heating - Cleaning service provided on arrival The price does not include: - Use of the telephone and the internet - Compulsory cleaning service on checkout costing upwards of 80 - Additional cleaning services (provided on request) NB: for stays of 3 weeks or more different terms and conditions may be applied

6 Genoa & Activities Genoa is a very walker-friendly city, with most of the major attractions within minutes of each other. Piazza de Ferrari is Genoa, the central square, around which are the most important theater (Teatro Carlo Felice) in the Palazzo Ducale and the Via XX Settembre, the main shopping street. The Ducal Palace was once the home of the Doges, and serves as a museum and center for cultural events and exhibitions. Two minutes from Piazza Dante is the house where Christopher Columbus was born. Another must is the Via Garibaldi, a World Heritage Site, which holds many palaces once home to noble families of Genoa. Other sites include the Porto Antico, the old port, and an old lighthouse called Lanterna, as the symbol of Genoa. Below you will find a list of just some of the things to do during your stay in Genoa. All activities are optional. a tour of the city on an open-top bus and a guided tour of the port. The guides will speak in Italian as all the activities are designed to make your stay as authentic as possible. But don't panic, you will be accompanied by someone from the school to provide moral and linguistic assistance! a walking tour of the centro storico - the biggest old town' in europe - full of bustle and activity where specialist craftsmen continue to work, practically out in the street, on everything from icecream to lace to signboards to door-handles! Not to mention the industrial archaeology. a visit to local forts. This trip will take you outside of the city to the Parco Urbano delle Mura where there are the ruins of medieval forts. cooking class: learn about ligurian cuisine and how to make pizza and pesto! Italian wine tasting: you can sample a large selection of fine wines in the welcoming surroundings of a local wine bar. a night at the opera in the teatro Carlo Felice : you will experience a real Italian opera in one of the most prestigious theatres in Italy. sailing. This is an optional activity for short trips along the coast. Again, this activity highlights the fact that we are not just a language school. visit to the Cinque Terre. Full day trips are optional and organized during the week end.

7 How to apply for a course What you must do 1. You can complete the application form that you can find in the next page or apply on our website 2. If you choose to apply by the form below, please send a fax, or post the application form, together with proof of payment of your Registration Fee ( 100) and Accommodation Arrangement Fee ( 50 if applicable). 3. Send us your flight, train or coach details as soon as you have arranged your travel even if you have not booked the airport meeting and transport service. 4. Tell us immediately if you have to change your course dates because of any delays or if your visa has been refused. 5. Pay the balance of your fees at least three weeks before your arrival date. What we do 1. When we have received your application form or your online booking and Registration Fee ( 100) and Accommodation Arrangement Fee ( 50 if applicable) we will send you: 2. A letter confirming the booking. 3. Confirmation of the total amount you must pay for your course, accommodation & any other cost (airport transfer and activities if required) i.e. your invoice. 4. Information about your accommodation including travel details (this may be sent a few days after your enrolment documents), confirmation of your airport meeting and transport service (if booked). If we cannot accept your booking, we will offer you an alternative date for your course or refund your registration and accommodation arrangement fees (if applicable). Once your booking has been accepted, these will not be refunded. How to pay The prices in the price list are for full payment in advance for the course and accommodation.
