4 Citycon and NCC Property Development set to launch the Iso Omena extension project First phase of a three-phase shopping centre extension project First phase of shopping centre extension: an investment of approximately EUR 120 million Citycon and NCC Property Development have a 50/50 partnership in the project Construction of Länsimetro Oy's bus terminal and the park-and-ride parking floor will begin at the same time The contractor for both projects is NCC Rakennus Oy

5 Iso Omena Shopping Centre will grow by fifty per cent The shopping centre's retail area will grow to 75,000 square metres The centre will house more than 200 shops and other services Around 3,000 parking places will be available The centre's fashion, restaurant and café offering will be consolidated in particular Robust public services: City of Espoo "service square" with library and social and health care services

7 Construction will begin immediately Construction work will begin immediately Contractor: NCC Rakennus Oy The bus terminal, park-and-ride parking and other areas related to their functioning will be completed in late 2015 The shopping centre extension will be completed in the late summer of 2016 The extension will be seamlessly joined to the existing shopping centre -> a single commercial centre A residential tower block will be constructed in connection with the extension

8 Commercial objectives of the extension project Strong purchasing power the average income of households within the sphere of Iso Omena is twice the Finnish average Strong population growth throughout Espoo forecasts project an increase of 20 per cent by 2020 Footfall target: From the current 9 million to 14.5 million annual visitors Sales target: Iso Omena in 2012 EUR 260 million forecast for 2017 EUR 375 million

9 Traffic hub With the construction of the metro line and bus terminal, Matinkylä will be a busy traffic hub End station of the first phase of metro construction Close to a growing residential and business district (e.g. the head office of Outotec is right next door) Approximately 35,000 passengers will pass through the metro centre each day

11 Construction will soon be visible on the streets of Matinkylä A letter describing the changes to traffic arrangements will be sent to households in the area. A briefing will be held for local residents in June.
