7 Presentation VIP protection relays Self-powered reliaility PE57160 VIP the leading protection relay proiding a wide range of selectiity and quality of supply The VIP 300 is a three phase oercurrent and earth fault protection deice, proiding protection for networks and equipment. Being an integral part of the highly successful Ringmaster range, its main function is to detect phase and earth faults within the network and to trip the circuit reaker. PE57159 VIP 300 Pick-up current ranges: RN2c, RE2c, CN2, CE2 Oercurrent: 20A-200A. Earth fault: 2A-160A. CE6 and RN6c Oercurrent: 80A-800A. Earth fault: 8A to 640A. Hardened electronics Certified EMC performance to IEC and EN 50061, EN Separate oercurrent and earth fault trip indication. Flashing LED s indicate when the relay is operating under fault conditions. Flexiility The relay proides for a wide range of protection settings for most applications. The IDMT characteristics employed for oth the oercurrent and earth fault elements can e easily adjusted to proide discrimination with upstream MV and downstream LV protectie deices. Fast power-up of the VIP 300 also proides immediate protection and can detect faults instructing the CB to trip in less than 40ms. Reliaility The relay has a self monitoring deice and diagnostic routine that constantly checks the operation of the relay automatically. Self-powered reliaility The VIP 300 protection relay is a self powered microprocessor ased deice which requires no external DC power source or atteries, making it the ideal solution for location in remote areas where auxiliary supplies are not readily aailale. Ease of use VIP 300 has improed operation and control with the relay settings eing clearly displayed on the front panel. Manual reset flags show separate tripped on fault for either phase or earth fault conditions. VIP 35 proides protection against phase-to-phase faults and earth faults. Testing The VAP 6 hand held test unit, is aailale to proide a simple check of the integrity of the relay and can also e used to perform trip tests on the circuit reaker. The circuit reaker trip inhiit facility allows the relay to e tested without tripping the circuit reaker. Secondary injection can e carried out using conentional test equipment. PE56826 The VIP 30 and VIP 35 are self-powered deices, requiring no external DC power source or atteries. They are designed for use in distriution networks proiding protection for transformers. 8 Presentation Network remote control T200E telecontrol Ringmaster and T200E Control your Ringmaster from a remote position The Schneider Electric Easergy T200E telecontrol cainet, which links the Ringmaster to a control centre s automation system, allows you to manage a secondary distriution network from a remote point. Network faults can e identified and isolated and the network reconfigured in seconds without manual interention, which sustantially improes the quality of supply. The small and compact Easergy T200E can e easily mounted directly onto the Ringmaster, saing installation costs and aluale floor space. Telecontrol equipment can e added any time after installation. This makes Ringmaster RMU s een more cost-effectie to install, since a control system can e ought separately if needed at a later date. Other RTUs can also e integrated if required.
