Construction of transport systems filotranviario The DOTE (Chief Operating Officer electric transmission) is a system of centralized command and control systems installed by IMET in realizing the network filotranviaria Lecce and one in the making of Avellino, which lies within the systems of transportation general based on the use of vehicles equipped with electric drive motors (tramway, trolleybus, subways, railways). Energy management on the entire system begins after the arrival of high voltage, up to the feeder auxiliary power to the users and enslaved. The control and command of the entire distribution line is made from a single equipped center. The system enables a comprehensive view on the state of ESS, the checked line and on all the ancillary services. The electricity network is divided into sections on which depend the SSE (Under power stations) In each one is made the conversion of energy from the national grid to the local traction and distribution loop. Within this context Imet also deals with the maintenance, checks and controls of electrical rail. Pagina 17 di 21
Horizontal Drilling (Directional Drilling) IMET was the first Italian company to use the technique of the NO-DIG, namely the installation of underground facilities without open excavation. The business activities since 1990 offering an experience unparalleled nationally. Application examples: Drilling below very busy thoroughfares; Drilling beneath the underground transit systems; Drilling beneath several thoroughfares parallel Drilling below the natural course of a stream with minimum coverage; Drilling below a water course with the support structure of the banks; Drilling beneath a stream with current artificial; Drilling below a slope terrace; Drilling beneath a steep slope; Drilling beneath a stairway; Drilling beneath sheds or greenhouses; Drilling beneath obstacles such as sheet piling or concrete poles; Drilling beneath airport runways; Drilling beneath trees in the city; Drilling beneath the gardens or public parks; Drilling below the "nature reserves". Pagina 18 di 21
The remediation of contaminated sites has traditionally been achieved through the complete removal of all material polluted with all the problems that ensue. Completely detached from these issues appears to be the technique of bioventing obtained with the laying of pipes for blowing air and release nutrients through the technique of drilling a horizontal direction (HDD). The resulting advantages are summarized below: security with which the intervention can be conducted; the reduction of costs related to preventive measures; the speed with which the work is performed; The accuracy with which the masses to be reclaimed are intercepted; effectiveness and longevity of drains installed. The water removal from land is traditionally achieved through the use of wells (horizontal or vertical) or trenches, and these interventions, however, are not viable in the presence of unstable land masses: the transit of resources from site (loads vibrating), and execution of more or less deep drilling may be an incentive for energy predisposing to instability. Completely released from these problems is the technique of laying of drains through horizontal drilling direction. The yard can indeed be installed far away from the area to be reclaimed. The drilling can be performed either starting from the slope or from the top of the slope. In both cases, the Pagina 19 di 21
borehole can be directed with great precision (climb or descent) to the scroll zone from where, after installation of the drainage, it will create a free discharge of water masses to be removed. IMET SpA is also able to propose service driving MGS (Magnetic Guidance System) to perform controlled horizontal drilling with maximum precision. Pagina 20 di 21
GPR Surveys The Ground Penetrating Radar or GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) is the most advanced and sophisticated non-destructive survey methodology dedicated to research technology services and underground structures. Applications: Research sub-services and manufactured goods in urban and rural transport; Structural investigations on walls and floors; Research and localization of armor, buried drums and tanks; - Archaeological research, monitoring of historical buildings.
