1 Certificate in Dual Career Development (Sport) Personalised Learning for Personal Growth Dublin Cork Limerick (01)
2 Certificate in Dual Career Development (Sport) The Certificate in Dual Career Development (Sport) is designed to specifically address identified needs of sports people in the area of professional development and transition management. The programme, developed in consultation with the Irish Institute of Sport, is suitable for both current high performance athletes in preparation for their future and recently retired sports people. Career transition or dual career development for an athlete is a complex issue with many variables to consider. This programme has been designed to address some of these specific variables with its key focus on developing skills in IT, communication and personal management. Many sporting bodies provide excellent direct support to athletes in career, education and lifestyle. This programme empowers athletes to take ownership of their personal and professional development and provides formal training on the National Framework of Qualifications. This Certificate addresses a training need for athletes, a need which has been identified at national and international level. The programme is validated as a level 7 programme by QQI, Quality and Qualifications Ireland. Upon successfully passing all assignments, participants will receive a Special Purpose Award (Certificate) in Dual Career Development (Sport). The programme consists of 20 ECTS. This award will act as a bridge for participants into further programmes of study at diploma or degree level, or can be simply used as a tool to aid life planning and career development.

This innovative education model allows for flexibility and special academic supports as required. Why Griffith? One to one mentoring and tailored support. Convenience and Flexibility both online and face to face aspects of the programme are tailored to suit the participants. Excellent Lecturers All our lecturers are highly qualified and bring a diverse range of experience to the programme. Convenient location just minutes from St. Stephen s Green with free on campus parking. Full Quality Assurance the programme is fully accredited by QQI. STUDENT TESTIMONIALS Griffith has been a great experience for me. Trying to get the balance between work and study as a professional rugby player isn t easy but Griffith College has helped me a lot. What I like is the intimate style of the college and I m really looking forward to continuing my studies there next year. Fergus McFadden Griffith College provides me with the support, resources and facilities that I need in order to fully experience a varied and detailed educational experience. The small class sizes and dedicated lecturing teams have made a real difference in balancing my work and sporting commitments. Sean Cronin I am an International Event Rider. I have just finished my first year studying for a degree in Business in Griffith College Dublin, which I really enjoyed. I love the smaller classes in Griffith; everyone gets to know each other which is great. There is a real sense of community and friendliness in Griffith. Elizabeth Hayden I was adamant to continue my link with all things equine when I started my degree in Griffith. I was worried that my career as an amateur jockey might have to take a step back as I studied, but I managed to find the perfect balance. I was able to work my timetable around my riding and I had a good relationship with my lecturers. J.J. Slevin
